Gwendolyn's anger surged at the tone of his voice.

"What?" She yelled.

"Why the fuck didn't you stop me?" Kieran repeated. "You could have been hurt."

For a moment, she couldn't speak. She was stunned speechless. Was he really blaming her for losing control to his demon?

"Why didn't I stop you?" She snapped finally. "Are you crazy? You are the one who lost control!"

Kieran turned away, unable to think straight. He could still taste the sweetness of her blood, and gods help him, he wanted more.

He whirled around, his handsome face twisted into a frown.
