Chapter 4

Leviana's POV

I can't believe I'm doing this I am only attending this tournament because of Granny forcing me to say yes to Maddie or else I wouldn't have even come mostly after what Jack did to me this morning now I'm hearing whispers behind me everytime saying " that girl was with Jack". Well that girl has a name and it is Leviana but in their case it is Miss Leviana Mason Addams so I got to the school's gymnasium where it looks like any normal gymnasium the benches were wooden the basketball court the wooden floor polished and ready to be used by aggressive basketball players.

" Here take this ". Maddie said giving me a headband that has it written wildcats.

" Wildcats?"

" Like from the one of highschool musical?". I asked

" Yes, they came up with that name because the boys just like that show".

" What a motivation for them to continue playing basketball". I said trying to be less sarcastic as I kept on the headband.

Jack's POV

The match is going to start and I can't help myself and I'm looking for Maddie she's the only girl that understands me and why I get nervous our dad won't be happy with me if I fail and the worst part is that after the basketball tournament is parents teacher meeting on Monday, luckily for me I spot Maddie and she's with Leviana and they are both wearing matching headbands with wildcats written on them. I finally feel a bit relieved and grateful at the same time because I am shocked that Leviana still agreed to come and watch me play basketball even after how I behaved with her this morning right now all I can do is to gather my courage and my best skills yet so that my team can win. Brett who is the point guard of the team already started to tell my teammates the strategy that we will use against the bulldogs our opposing team. The match was a very fearsome one after a very exciting match we finally won by one miracle shot during the last minute and it was of course made by your one and only Jack James Andrew also known as Jack the jock. Immediately after the match I was in search for Maddie in order to do our twin celebration and then I saw her with Leviana so after picking my twin up and twirling her around for the emotional support she always gives me I turned to Leviana and said thank you in the nicest way possible.

" Thank you for coming to watch my brother play ". Maddie said

" No really it's not a big deal to come and watch a basketball tournament ".

Did she just say it's not a big deal I think she needs to know what basketball means to me.

" You might not see it as a big deal but I do since you came to watch me play I think we can be good friends ". I said smiling stretching forth my hand for a handshake, I noticed how she looked at Maddie and was hesitant to shake my hand but she later did as she finally gave me the handshake I didn't let go of her hand immediately I held it for sometime and looked at her in the eye and gave her a gentle kiss on the back of her hand.

" That's my way of saying thank you ". I said throwing one of my charming smiles but Leviana wasn't happy and I didn't care if she was as far as I completed my mission to become her friend I was satisfied and I know she only agreed to become my friend for the sake of my sister. Maddie immediately went to meet Brett to congratulate him on winning that girl and boy are just too attached to each other.

" Don't you know how to behave yourself". Leviana snapped at me.

" What did I do wrong?".

" I don't need to tell you, just go back to your house sit down at one corner of your room and think of how you've been troubling me this whole day". I was shocked that she couldn't hold herself back she is literally telling me she finds my presence annoying.

" Well , I'm sorry but I don't want to be thinking of a girl every night unless you want me to be your boyfriend ".

" Do you know that you're very stupid for saying that, I mean who in their right minds will want to be with you? ". I was just shocked at what she just said, now I know why I call her Leviathan she deserves it.

" What is wrong don't you want me to call you Levy ?". I said moving one step closer towards her before she could say anything we are interrupted by a group of people consisting of Maddie, Brett, Addison, Alice and a group of other girls.

" Jack the principal announced that since our class won we are going to host a celebration party and the local news channel will interview us at school". I was shocked by this news and didn't know how to react so all I said was

" Cool ". As I tried to find Leviana and Maddie I saw both of them at the door and it was as if Leviana was leaving so I tried to catch up to her but she already left the place.

" Why are you here?".

" I just wanted to ask Leviana if she'll come for the party the school was hosting".

" I already asked". Maddie said giving a deep breath

"And?".

" Well you know her, she said no".

" She didn't even say that she will speak to her grandma ".

" Nope, she said she has zero interest in coming".

" Alright".

" Since when did you start showing interest in Leviana? ".

" I don't get what you are saying?".

" I am your twin Jack not stupid".

" Sometimes I think you are stupid".

" Jack ". Maddie said my name with a tiresome face it means she doesn't have the strength to squabble with me. So after I said bye to my closet pal, I and Maddie went back home, at least I can proudly tell my dad that I won the match.

Leviana's POV

I just wanted to leave the place Jack is being too annoying and now Maddie wants me to come for the celebratory party that the school is hosting no way I won't even tell my grandma because I know that she will want me to go since I now have a friend. I was walking at the speed of light in order for me not to talk to anyone else except for my granny.

" How was the basketball tournament?". My granny asked after I finally reached the house, she didn't even let me rest on the cushions.

" It was alright, my class won ".

" That's great who scored the last shot?". Why did granny have to ask me that question.

" Jack ".

" Ohhh, so did you celebrate with him".

" Granny let me have a break from this already".

" Alright, I heard that there is parents teacher meeting on Monday so make sure you wear the dress that I choose".

" Granny my whole wardrobe consists of dresses that you chose for me ".

After dinner with my grandma I went to my room to get a good night rest and suddenly my mind started to reply the conversations that I had with Jack and of how he kissed the back of my hand I completely forgot about that and got disgusted at the thought of it. All I wanted was to get a goodnight rest and I didn't get it the same nightmare disturbs me again and I can't tell my grandma. Saturday went pretty well all I did was to help my grandma and was playing the piano throughout the day.

Jack's POV

Maddie was so happy for me that she couldn't contain herself and told my parents during dinner on Friday night of how I made the team to win at the last minute. I honestly didn't care about the fact that I won, I just wanted to see the reaction my father will display, my mom stopped eating and came to my side of the table where I was and gave me a kiss on my forehead telling me how proud she was but my dad didn't even do anything instead he picked up his phone and called someone leaving me, my sister and my mom at the table, he always does this , he doesn't take pride in his son's accomplishment but the moment I make an err he capitalizes on it telling me why I shouldn't be wasting my time playing the guitar or drawing and just focus on my basketball. I had enough and lost my appetite.

" Mom I want to go to the room".

" Jack, you know your father is proud of you".

" Yeah I know". I just smiled and left the dining room, I don't know why my mom always protects my dad when he doesn't even value anyone not even my mom , he only tries in Maddie's case because she is very emotional and can make a wreck of everything if she doesn't have the right amount of attention. I lock myself in the room and continue drawing on that particular piece of art that I've been busy with for sometime and it almost gives the vibes of someone but I'm not sure if it is what I'm drawing I just go with the vibes. I used my weekend pretty well I just decided to waste it away by listening to songs, playing the guitar and my favorite activity of the day teasing my sister. That Saturday she was still begging miss Leviathan to come for the party that the school hosted for us, I don't know why she can't be like me that already has a plan to bring her for the party that she can't say no, but I leave Maddie to her frustration and was about to leave the sitting room until our dad stepped in.

" I heard that there is a parents teacher meeting". He said looking at my direction

" Yes dad". I said

" Well I'm not able to come for it ". He said looking straight into my eyes . I wanted to roll my eyes at him but I didn't do anything but to lean against the wall.

" Is that how you stand in my house?". I felt my dad's eyes with that deadly stare he gives me, that same stare that he gave me when I wasn't the leader of the basketball team, that same stare he gave me when he didn't want to celebrate any of my birthdays, so I decided to move myself to a couch and sit down beside Maddie. Before he could say anything else Maddie decided to reduce the tension between me and dad

" Daddy why are you not coming?".

" The reason I'm not coming is because that Monday I have to meet one important client".

" Daddy it's not fair don't you want to hear what teachers will say about Jack and how well he played at the basketball tournament?".

" I am sorry princess".

" Don't tell me sorry, you have to tell Jack sorry because he really did his best in the tournament".

" Maddie I think that's enough". I finally spoke up and went into my room.

I really appreciate how Maddie tries her best to unite me and my father but it can never work, he only cares about Maddie and he sees me as a person that shouldn't make any err .

Leviana's POV

This Saturday night didn't turn out well, I got that nightmare again and everytime it becomes more clearer and louder than last time at this rate I can never go for a sleepover or else I'll be laughed at and I'll be considered as a weird person.

Sunday went by quickly and before you know it , it was Monday again, I just hate Mondays so I force myself out of bed and then I remembered that there will be no class because of parents teacher meeting.

" Granny I hope you know I'm waiting for you".

" Oh please don't rush me I will take as long as I want to ".

" Granny you are not going for shopping, you are going to meet my teacher, have a boring conversation with him and then take me back home".

For someone that is a grandma she still behaves as of she is in her youth and if you think she dresses like other old people you have got it wrong. My granny finally came out prepared she wore a brown trench coat with trousers and a white shirt inside if you look at her you will mistaken her for a woman that is in her middle age and is working and in reality she's a retired business woman that has handed her business over to someone to look after her business so indirectly she always dresses the way she wants to be addressed.

Today was a bit embarrassing because my granny decided to bring the driver along and of course the car was a flashy type of car so I was so humiliated because I just wanted to be on a low-key but my granny always wants to stand out unlike Jack and Maddie that the driver drops them off everyday I prefer taking the bus for reasons that I don't like to disclose.

We finally reach the school and I just saw Jack standing at one corner staring at me but when I saw Maddie she was so excited and she introduced herself to granny that even granny liked the way she behaves, if you are waiting to hear the part of what my teacher says about me then I am sorry but I didn't pay much attention to it because I was lost in my own world and I just wanted to leave the place because I could sense intense stares from a lot of people from the likes of Addison and Alice to the likes of Jack. Finally the teacher was done with whatever he had to say and me and my granny were in the school hallway before you know it I heard a voice calling me from behind

" Leviana". I turned around to see who has the audacity to call my name like that out loud and not to my surprise it was Jack I was so angry at seeing his face that I just wanted to grab my granny by the hand and continue walking but then he had the mind to compliment my granny.

" Good morning ma'am, I assume you are Leviana's grandmother and I must say you have a very good sense for dressing even better than your granddaughter". I looked over at my grandma and to my surprise her cheeks turned red and I was just left speechless.

" I am offended you called me her grandmother, don't you think I'm young enough to be her mother?". My grandma said adjusting her glasses. I can't believe she wants to make a conversation with him.

" Actually, I taught you were her mother if not for Maddie that told me you are her grandmother, so I had to take a closer look and realized that you were her grandma" .

" No problem young man, so what's your name?".

" My name is Jack".

" Ohhh so you are Jack". Why did granny have to say it like that now he will think that I talk about him to my grandma and he will have a swollen ego .

" What exactly has Leviana said about me?". He asked looking at me and smiling towards my direction.

" I can't say anything, whatever my Levy says to me stays with me".

" Okay grandma, I actually wanted to ask Levy over here if she will be coming for the party the school is hosting?". I knew Jack already knows that I said no but he decided to bring it up in front of my grandma so that I can say yes, his smile has already told me the reason behind the question.

" Uhm granny I don't want to...."

" Don't tell me you don't want to go, because I'll force you to".

" Yes Levy listen to your grandma ". Jack said with that evil grin on his face .

" Don't call me Levy". I snapped at him.

" Levy dear you are going for the party and it's final, besides you only live once so you have to make memories don't throw opportunities away like that".

" Thank you grandma so much for convincing Leviana to come for the party". Jack said

Right now I feel so helpless and I can't do anything about it.

" Will you like to come for dinner?". Did my grandma just ask him that. I immediately turned my head to Jack's direction and said

" NO". I said that out loud without thinking.
