Synopsis
Lyrae Meteorite Desiderio was the breadwinner. When her parents died in an airplane crash, she took the responsibility of being a parent of her two siblings. Kaya ganon na lang ang takot niya nang ma-diagnose siya ng stage 4 colon cancer. Paniguradong malaking pera ang magagastos niya sa pagpapagamot. So she had decided to not take any medical cure and wrote a bucket list. Para sana kahit sa huling pagkakataon ay maranasan niya ang mga bagay na hindi pa niya nararanasan dati. She pursued her bucket list with Josh, her best friend and the man she secretly love. Kasama niya si Josh sa lahat ng iyon, pero alam niyang hindi niya makakasama si Josh sa panghuling bagay na nasa list niya: to have sex with a random guy at the bar. That night, she met Azren--a complete opposite of Josh. He was cold, heartless, and serious. Nagising na lang siya kinaumagahan katabi ang lalaking nakilala niya kagabi sa isang hindi kilalang kwarto. Masaya na sana siya sa nangyari nang biglang tumawag ang doktor at sinabing wala siyang kahit anumang sakit at mali ang test results! Hindi niya alam kung paano sasabihin kay Josh ang lahat lalo pa't isang buwan na ang nakalipas at napag-alaman niyang buntis siya at si Azren ang ama!

PROLOGUE
THIRD PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW
'SHE’S THE ONE'. Napabulong na lang si Joshua habang nakatingin sa isang babaeng tahimik na nagbabasa ng libro sa sulok ng classroom. Her face was on side-view and Josh can clearly see her long and thick lashes, thin lips, and fine jaw. The way she blinks was the most gorgeous sight Josh could ever see.
Sumabay si Josh sa pagngiti ng babae habang nagbabasa ng isang libro. Josh was five chairs away from the girl, and he can see the title from its book cover. “The Fault in Our Stars” ‘yon ang librong binabasa niya.
Josh had seen the movie, but he was not a fan of romance and drama. Sinamahan lang niya ang mama niya noon na manood ng sine dahil bored daw ito sa bahay nila. “Meteor!” nang mapatingin ang babae sa tumawag sa kaniya ay napatingin din si Josh rito.
Medyo nalungkot pa si Josh nang umalis ang babae at iniwan ang bag at librong binabasa sa upuan nito. Meteor, what a nice name. Josh smiled at himself while the name “Meteor” filled his mind.
Dahan-dahang lumapit si Josh doon habang pinagmamatiyagan ang paligid. Kinuha niya ang libro at tiningnan ang front page. May nakasulat doon na halatang noon pa ‘yon nasulatan. “Happy Birthday, my love. This was the book you’ve been asking me to buy, hope you love it.” Basa ni Josh.
So… she was more into books than movies? Interesting. Pero… may boyfriend na ito? Napasimangot si Josh.
Agad ding naibalik ni Josh ang libro nang marinig ang dagsaan ng mga estudyante na papasok sa classroom. May introduce yourself pa pala, dahil first day ng first year college.
“Next!” lihim na napangiti si Josh nang si Meteor na ang magpapakilala. Nahihiya itong pumunta sa harap at inayos ang buhok na tumatakip sa kaniyang mukha. Nang mag-angat ito ng tingin biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso niya.
Mas nakitang maigi ni Josh ang maganda nitong mukha. She has a fair complexion, heart-shaped lips, sharp nose, her lashes was curled naturally, and those eyes was the most beautiful orbs he had ever seen in his life.
She’s so beautiful. She smiled shyly in front of them. Josh can hear the compliments by the guys at the back, saying that they’ll court her. Inikot ni Josh ang mga mata sa mga naririnig sa likod. 'As if, boys! She’ll be mine before you could ever talk to her'. Josh smirked.
“Good morning, I’m Lyrae Meteorite Desiderio. You can call me anything but I prefer Meteor. I’m from Sagada and I have two younger siblings. I love reading and I’m actually not into big group of friends.” nahihiyang yumuko ito at bumalik sa upuan.
Parang naging mabagal ang takbo ng mundo ni Josh habang naglalakad pabalik si Meteor sa upuan nito nang bigla silang magkatitigan. Meteor took Josh’s breath away. He was captivated.
Meteor smiled at him before breaking the eye contact. That stare was probably Josh’s most awkward so far. Parang natulala si Josh at parang baliw na ngumiti na halos hindi niya namalayang tinatawag na siya ng prof nila.
Gosh. She has the most beautiful smile.

TWENTY-SIXGUSTONG MAIYAK ni Meteor sa mga narinig. She had never heard Riu talk like that. Nuong una’y gusto niyang bumangon atsigawan si Riu sa pagiging mataraypero bigla namang umatras iyon. Her sister really cared for her.Nagpalit ng puwesto si Meteor sa paghiga. Ayaw niyang makita ng kapatid o ni Azren na umiiyak siya. Her senseswoke up when Azren carried her to the bed. Hindi naman siya tulog mantika. Konting ingay nga lang ay paniguradong magigising na siya. Pero nahihiya kasi siyang gumising kanina at makita niya ang sariling buhat ni Azren.Pasimple niyang pinunasan ang luha bago huminga ng malalim. Hindi niya alam kung ilang oras siyang natutulog. TWENTY-FIVE“MOM?” AZREN stretched his arms when his Mother called. He’s been working for a couple of hours, haven’t even ate his lunch. He can skip meals when he’s working. TWENTY-THREEMETEOR WOKE UP from the small humming sound inside Azren’s car. It was not noisy nor annoying, a solemn lullaby rather. Humikab siya at inunat ang mga kamay saka napatingin sa labas ng binatana. They’re still on the road, but right now, they were surrounded by buildings. Mabagal ang andar ng sasakyan, at dahil nakahiga siya sa upuan ay hindi niya makita nag nasa labas maliban sa mga matataas na gusali sa labas.Probably Manila’s heavy traffic again. It has always been like this, always traffic, always hectic. Meteor loved Metro Manila because of its messy narration. Manila speaks its story itself. Hindi na nito kailangan pa ng magkukuwento. But despite of its spitting story, it remains mysterious to Meteor’s eyes.This is why Meteor admired this city more than her own hometown. Because it was obvious but mysterious at the same time. TWENTY-TWO FROM LOOKING at his laptop, Azren’s gazes went to Meteor’s. She walked slowly to him, hesitating to talk to Azren. Bahagya pang nakayuko ang babae, tila nag-iisip kung itutuloy ba niya ang pakikipag-usap sa binata. Napansin ni Azren na suot nito ang dress na suot niya nuong pumunta sila dito sa bahay ng mga magulang. Is she going out? Azren leaned on the sofa and crossed his arms. Meteor doesn’t seem to notice that Azren was watching her hesitate. Bahagyang umiling si Meteor na ikinangiti ni Azren. This woman is actually not bad. She’s easy to be with, she understands everything he says, he also admits that she is cute, damn. Where did that word come from? She’s a good actress, too... After what happened at the garden, Azren didn’t know what to say that time. Her acting is great! Muntik na siyang maniwala na totoo ang mga nangyayari. He must reward this woman for her great acting.
