LOGINAlina’s POV
“What is going on?” “Can you introduce me to those Frenchmen? I want to jump on it” “Why the sudden change of heart?” “I don't see why that is any of your business Sebastian. This was a bad idea, I'll find them myself” She grabbed the shopping bags from me and stormed off. Sebastian didn’t come after me like I expected. wasn't willing to help, it was all a waste of time. I stormed off forgetting about the man in the shadows until I saw him again. Was I the only one who had seen this figure? My eyes darted around the corner for help. Who would help me? A little help was not going to hurt me, I just needed saving, and yet it didn’t come. Panic engulfed me in a warm hug that grew tight, almost suffocating as I stared at the man in front ofme. The hair in my arms stood straight up like spikes, my breath caught in my throat. I could hear my heartbeat racing and I couldn't think, could hardly breathe. I couldn't speak or move, as I tried to focus solely on his face, which seemed to glow with a light from within. It felt strange, extremely strange. But the eyes, those eyes were cold and danced with mischief and danger. Like liquid ice. I had seen them before but where? Everything about those had seen them so many times, burning in my nightmares. Eyes that looked deep into yours like they could read your deepest desires. Eyes that screamed chaos, he was looking at me like a cat playing with its food before devouring it and leaving the bones to crumble underneath the weight of his appetite. I knew those eyes. “Not exactly who you were expecting, am I right?” he murmured amusedly, taking in the sight of me, as if he had planned this whole encounter. He took a step back and leaned his back against the wall of my room, still looking directly at me. My brain felt fried and my mouth felt dry. I couldn't find any words to reply. All that could run through my mind was him, and his eyes and his voice, and his smell, his smell that filled me with pure terror. “Hello, Alina” he greeted once again when he noticed my lack of response. His voice sounded like he was talking to a toy, a toy he was going to mess up. “Aren't you going to answer me?” he teased, smirking playfully. My chest was constricting and my breaths were shallow. He chuckled again and shook his head, stepping towards me. “Answer me, Alina,” He demanded, looking furious like he was about to snap my neck, which was possible. Very possible. But I couldn't think of any other thing apart from the fact that this could be my last moment on earth. This man would kill me. He would kill me. The reality of that thought punched me in the guts causing tears to roll down my cheeks , making me gasp for air, but failing. He didn't make a single sound as he stepped closer and closer until we were inches away from each other. “Aw, don’t cry. You haven't been crying when you were whoring around, you can't possibly cry now, can you?” He asked mockingly. “I just got here.” he said, shaking his head laughing. “How about we start over? Hello, hello? Can you hear me?” I closed my eyes tightly trying to control my breathing. Tears continued to flow freely from both my eyes and my lips. Everything felt blurry. His hand wiped the side of my cheek and I cringed, wishing I could disappear, wishing that all of this was just a bad dream and that I would wake up soon. “Look at me!” he yelled, grabbing my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. His grip tightened around my jaw and I let out an involuntary whimper. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening. It wasn't supposed to happen like this. Why now? Why me? Why here? Why this place of all places? “Good” he had a sickening smile on his face , his tone sounding very smug as he spoke. “Look how obedient you are. Good girl” I wanted to scream ‘stop hurting me! Stop it! Please!’ but my vocal cords refused to work. He leaned in closely until our lips touched and I wanted to puke. His lips continued their assault but I remained cold as ice. “Kiss me back” he demanded. But I didn't. I felt myself gag under his touch but managed to swallow it. My stomach rolled as he pulled back, his thumb caressing my lower lip. “You're so beautiful, such a beautiful slut.” he whispered. I opened my eyes and tried to move but his grip on my jaw remained firm. “Do you wanna know something sweetheart?” he questioned slowly, like he was talking to a child. He bent down a little bit, resting the tip of his nose on my nose. I gasped for air. Why was everything getting smaller and smaller around me, shrinking the space between us until it was just tiny and tight enough for us to be touching and yet still just big enough for us to be separated by a few centimetres. Why was it so slow? Who was coming to rescue me? His fingers tangled themselves in my hair. The sharp pain and pressure from his grip caused me to wince and whimper in pain. My knees felt weak, my whole body trembled under his harsh grip. “Answer me! Say it right now” I flinched at the sound of his voice, his words making every part of me cringe. More tears fell from my eyes “Please, you are hurting me ! Let go of me! Please! Please! Don't hurt me, please!” I begged desperately as more painful cries tore through my lungs. He smiled sadly at me and moved his hand down to my thigh pressing against it. “Are you really begging me to hurt you? Do you really want me to do that?” My vision became blurred with more tears and I lowered my head hiding my tear stained face in my hands. “I thought you were stronger than that. But you don’t even fight back anymore...” His voice trailed off and silence filled the elevator with a thick tension that could crush anyone. “I won't ask you again,” he added menacingly, “but I swear to God, Alina, that I'll make you wish you'd never been born. So you better think twice before you start crying.” His hand suddenly lifted my chin up and my tears were washed away immediately. I saw the anger in his expression, in the hardness in his eyes, in the hard glint in his stare. But most of all, I saw fear. And there was something else besides anger reflected in his eyes; there was desperation. I saw the desperation in his gaze that made my blood run cold. It was only when the world came to an abrupt halt that he let me go. My legs gave way beneath me and I collapsed on the floor, gasping for air. I tried to pull away but he wouldn't let go, not even when I started screaming. “Stop! Stop! Leave me alone!” my screams echoed throughout the walls, sending shivers down my spine. “You're mine Alina” his voice was deadly serious, making my blood turn cold. Suddenly he stopped. Just like that. He let me go roughly andI landed on my butt . He glared at me before turning and walking out of the door without another word, leaving me there on the floor sobbing hysterically. And then it was silent. Complete and utter silence. I was completely and utterly alone.Alina’s POV “And she lives” Those were the first words that rolled out of Sebastian’s mother’s lips once Sebastian pushed me in through the door and let it slam behind him.I winced at the sound as I looked around. His parents and sister’s faces held no love, not even a hint of affection. In fact, they just looked like they’d seen better days. They made it clear as usual that I wasn't welcome and I didn't want to be. “Very generous of you, Mother” Sebastian’s voice reeked of sarcasm as he leaned down with a sneer. “You really think I would give up my wife?”I cringed away from his sneer. “Sebastian…” I tried to reach out for his hand but he moved his body away from mine, so I gave up and slumped my hands against my sides instead. The room was so cold I could see my breath as his mother continued, “You might have had your pick of the women in town. But then, I suppose, there’s always one who isn’t worthy of being yours.”Sebastian stood still for a moment before saying, in a very
Alina’s POV“What if it was him?” that voice echoed in my mind, causing me to look up and look around me, I was alone and lost in my thoughts.I shivered involuntarily.I didn't understand where that question even came from. But the voices in my head were active. “Alina, are you even listening to me?” One snapped, pulling further into my thoughts.“Who?” I asked, confused. I knew who it asked for, and I knew what it was talking about but trust me when I say no one wanted their fears to be confirmed.“That’s what I was wondering” another sighed. “What if it was ” it repeated its question. I could imagine the voice as that of a lean woman, staring at me with crossed her arms and warm amber eyes piercing through the bottom of my soul and trying to figure me out but I looked away immediately. The hair in my arms stood involuntarily at the mention of his name, causing my whole body to tense up. I remembered the last time. I was giving him more power than necessary. He still managed to b
Sebastian’s POV “What is this madness?” One of the men yelled, he was staring at me with cold icy eyes, and his accent was heavy.“What does it look like? Be patient and watch.” I responded calmly, although I really wanted to tear them into pieces. When the video finished playing, they both turned to me, faces white as paper, their mouths agape. I could have sworn that their hearts skipped a few beats when the video played the first time. Then one of them looked at the other, he gave him a slight nod as if he had just completed some kind of mission. The one called Pierre cleared his voice. “What do you want?”he asked. He didn't seem so confident now. In fact he seemed downright scared. But what was there to be afraid of, he thought. I’m not going to kill you or anything, so calm down. Calm down.“Well, first of all, you need to answer a question for me” A smirk appeared on my face. The man looked surprised but nodded in agreement. “Did you really think you could get away with hara
Sebastian’s POV “The French men, they molested me” The words fell off her lips and I could feel the blood rushing to my face, though there was no emotion on her face. This was a mistake, I must have misheard. It couldnt be possible. All I saw was red. I was angry and sad and confused and scared. I couldn't remember why I had felt these things, but I remembered those words very cleary. Those words were engraved into my mind, they found a way to keep themselves in my memory. It played on a loop in my mind, the image of her lying broken and bleeding on the floor, the smell of her fear in my nostrils, her broken soul. It felt like I could remember her, more like sew every single detail, the sound of her screams, and every single word she screamed. The way her eyes were wide open and full of fear as she tried to call for me, I'd always hear it echoing in my mind. I could picture the men laughing while they tossed her back and forth, I could imagine them staring at her luscious body,
Alina’s POV My vision blurred when I woke up and blinked away the dark spots in front of my eyes, trying to understand where I was, what happened. My body felt tense like a rubber band pulled taut as it stretched from my shoulders to my knees, but when I tried to move any muscle in my body it just hurt. It was like there were wires connected to all my limbs, some in my back, others in my legs and feet. It made it hard for me to sit up, so I had to lean against the bed.“Relax…” I heard a familiar voice. “Just relax. You're fine.""Mister?" I croaked out, my voice sounding raw even to my own ears. He laughed.“From Sebastian to Mister, but I will take it” he said. His voice sounded distant, like I was listening through a tunnel. “You're safe here, we're going to get you out of that position in a few minutes, just let your muscles uncoil." His warm hand rested lightly on my shoulder. “I feel trapped.”"It's okay...you're not trapped." I could hear the smile in his voice. “You ju
Sebastian’s POVShe looked so frail as she laid there in the hospital bed, her head was wrapped up in bandages and her face pale and sickly looking from her blood loss. After she stormed off at the park, I didn't go after her. I didn't expect her to go far either but soon time passed and there was no sign of Alina. So I assumed she had gone home but when I got home, she wasn't back. She didn't answer any of my calls or texts. Eventually she returned, her shoulders hung lowly in defeat but still she stood tall with a defiant tilt to her chin and a determined set to her eyes. I could still tell something wasnt right from the way her body stiffened and her gaze avoided mine. “Where have you been?” She shrugged noncommittally. “Around.” Her voice sounded like it belonged to someone else. It was quiet and flat and hollow. But the more her expression changed, the more I realized how much I hated that look on her. It only lasted a second before her facade slipped and tears fell
Alina POV“Sir your fiancee is here” I heard his receptionist say from behind the door.Sebastian didn't make any attempt to move so I pushed him. What surprised me was the way my hands tingled as I pushed him further away and the fact that he did not object. We stared at each other for a moment
AlinaI was FUCKED.If I thought I was fucked in the day, now it was worse than before. What was this? Was this karma coming back to bite me in the ass in its own unforgiving way? But for what reason?I threw on my clothes and lastly, sunshades. The last thing I wanted was to be caught in public w
AlinaIt all moved so fast, one minute I was asking him why he was stalking me and the other minute, I somehow found myself in the living room with my grandfather and Sebastian Wolfe.“We are getting married” Sebastian announced confidently and the room fell silent. It was typical of him to always
AlinaPanic engulfed me as I stared at the moving body, there was no way I was going to be part of a murder case, not when I had just started living, not with everything else.“What the hell have you done? He is not breathing, he is not moving!” I screamed at Sebastian in the middle of my panic att
