She Will Get What She Deserves!

Clary sat there for a few seconds, not even saying a word. She was so disgusted by the detective that anger filled her up, but she decided not to act on her emotions.

She knew that acting on them would only make things worse.

“Ma’am, with all due respect, go to hell,” Clary said the words in a monotone. “The fact that you even have the guts to suggest that tells me exactly that you’re in cahoots with Selena. And it sickens me that you would be willing to lay down your integrity for yourself and job for her.”

The detective felt a pang of hurt when she heard what Clary had said. She knew that the omega was right, that she was bribed by Selena.

But it was not only about the money, the detective was also promised a big promotion if she got Clary’s baby aborted.

She cleared her throat, collected the photograph from Clary, and placed it back into her folder. She then stood to her feet, locked eyes with the omega, and said, “This is your last and only chance.”

The book would be wrapping up after the plot has been exhausted, but a hint is that the end is near. I will not say which chapter but you're going to know when it's the end. I do not plan to milk my readers for money, not at all. So there should be no worry that this book would be dragged out. If I suddenly end this novel, everyone would then complain that it's rushed, so please just let the plot flow. Again, if you want to leave the book, it is perfectly fine. But I am not going to cave in and rush this novel, even though there are just a few more chapters remaining for the end. As for Selena, she would for sure get what's coming to her. And I promise to give Clary a happy ending, we all know she deserves it! :)
