Chapter Thirteen

If this were going to be our last time together, I would make it last until the sun rose if my body didn't give out before then. I felt like I was about to pass out from exhaustion. Emberly isn't exactly one hundred percent herself right now, either. I had to do the right thing here and not use her, and I hoped we could pick this up later after getting some shut-eye.

"You aren't feeling well, and I'm exhausted. I know I said I wanted to make love to you, but I don't think I can. Will you allow me to make this up to you after we have slept?"

"You are right as always. Yes, we can pick this up later, but either way, the next time we have sex will be the last," Emberly said as she laid the pillows down and rolled over to sleep.

I spooned her and put my fingers through her hair until she fell asleep. Even though I was exhausted, I had a hard time falling asleep. How was I going to be able to be near Emberly without touching her after the week we had together? I should never hav
