Deserve ko bang masaktan? The past is still hunting me to my deepest sleep, and all I can do is to cry and try to overlook the things again.

Sipping a cup of coffee in our veranda, I started to admire the sun that is slowly rising at the top of the New York City. Remembering the days that I questioned my worth will only shows how much I am useless.

Akala ko matapos naming aminin ang nararamdaman namin sa isa't isa ay ayos na, but I was wrong.

I saw him in the living room with a woman in his arms, and they are kissing intensely. The words he said the last time keeps spinning in my head which made me realized how dumb I am to believed him.

"I love you, Allanna Prish. You're my God's gift, the blessing I am waiting to feel the happiness and calmness within my heart. I love you, and always remember that."

A pang in my chest rose as I put the cup over the round table. Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako't tumayo. I walked inside the room, and heard his little snores which makes me smile.

Napatingin ako sa harap ng salamin at tinitigan ang aking kabuuan. By slowly understanding our situation, continuously slaps me the reality.

I held my chest to remain calmed. It's as if I am watching a series of flashbacks when I stood closed to the mirror.

"No, don't leave me. It was...it was just a mistake! You are the only one I love. You're tied with me. Don't leave me, baby."

Those words came out from his sweet mouth with a broken voice, and from that moment...I hesitated if I should leave him, or just grabbed his collar and give him a peck on his lips.

But I realized, I was just his contracted wife. Nothing more, nothing else. I'm an intruder in his perfect life.

"Allanna."

A knocked on the door interrupted my thoughts. "Come in."

"I'm sorry, but I won't be able to go with you in the Philippines. Some urgent matters happened in dad's company, and he needs my help. So—"

"It's fine, we can go by ourselves."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded. "Yes, I am a hundred percent sure. You don't know how much ready I am to step again in my homeland."

Well, we still need to go on separate ways after all the friendship we have since I moved here.
