Lola's POV

I clutched the flower I had just bought close to my chest as I padded over to his house, smiling sheepishly. It was going to be a surprise visit that would make him love me more, especially when he sees the flowers I brought for him.

School was finally resuming a few days ahead, so I got to return to get myself prepared after spending the full holiday with my grandma, who lives quite far from our house. She was getting frail and sick, so I had to visit and help her throughout. Now I'm back, and my boyfriend isn't aware yet. I didn't tell him because I wanted to give him a surprise visit.

That's romantic, right?

The cool breeze and bright sky also attest to that, as they made my skin tingle. Words can't explain how happy I am now.

I'm heading to meet Alpha Torian, my boyfriend, or I should say my mate, since it's just a few days away. Yes!

I'm going to fully turn 18 in two days, finally emitting my pleasant and alluring mate scent, which would confirm that we are mates even though none of us has any doubt about it.

Right now, my scent would be spreading a bit since it's just two days and I can't wait to run into his arms. I can't wait to be his Luna.

Torian and I had been very close since childhood, and our parents were also friends. We grew up together and loved and cared for each other so much that everyone believes we are mates. At first, I hated him for being a player. I thought he didn't love me and wanted me for sex, so being a nerdy virgin, I turned him down and stayed away from him, not until he changed those stupid thoughts of mine.

I was so wrong to hate him. He is the best man every woman will have. I also learnt that he is the alpha's son. The way he cared for me and sent those romantic texts daily didn't stop making me blush. He went as far as to chase away most of his female friends just to buy my trust.

When he turned 18, I smelled his alluring scent, and that left me with no doubt that we were destined to be together by the Moon goddess. I finally fell for him so deeply, and he didn't hesitate to have sex with me. It was my first time having sex. I didn't regret it, since he gave me no reason to. It was the next day that I left for my holiday. Now I'm finally back!

My name is Lola. My pack name is Blue Moon, and I'm the daughter of Pack Hunters. My parents are among the pack hunters, but we're far more respected since we bonded with the Alpha and his son, Torian.

My parents cherish the relationship with the Alpha and were so overwhelmed to find out how I was paired with Torian, the next Alpha. It only means that I'll be the Luna very soon.

I had traveled out for a month of summer vacation at my grandma's place, and I badly missed Torian. His touch, his sweet smiles and kisses, how he treats me, especially on that night he took my virginity. He was so gentle and didn't want to hurt me. Everything about him is perfect, and I'm lucky to have him all to myself. Torian has been on my mind throughout, and I can say I'm obsessed with him. Being my first love, I can't just keep him off my mind for a second.

After returning yesterday evening, I'm already heading to his house this evening to see him, and actually sleep over.

The thought of this really made my cheeks flush red as I blushed. I'm also going to surprise him by sleeping over. After he gets to smell the pre-scent, he is sure to get intoxicated by me and equally announce me as his Luna in school. I can't wait for that...

Oh, gosh.

A lopsided smile appeared on my face. I licked my lower lips and arranged my glasses well. I can already feel my heart thumping. The thought of how surprised and happy he would be makes me giddy already.

Wow, that would be awesome!

I laughed to myself and increased my pace as the rush of adrenaline swept through my veins, sending chills over me. His house isn't far from mine, so I had to go on foot.

Finally, I arrived at the mansion where he lives alone, away from the Royal Pack house where his parents live; I paused my pace, swallowed the lump in my throat, took a deep breath, and checked how my face appeared on my phone's screen.I was fully satisfied.

My hair was midnight black and flowed over my shoulder, matching my slender brows and velvety eye lashes; my nose was pointed, with a pout of pink lips that gave me a baby face; and when I smiled, my white teeth gleamed.I am charming. I can attest to that, and it explains why Torian fell for me.

This idea makes me giggle. Torian is also a figure-pleasing and alluring to the eyes. He's definitely the most handsome guy I've met.

"I can't wait to meet him!" Diana, my wolf, squeaked, hitting the edge of my body in excitement. She would have missed our mate too.

"How do I look in this dress?" I asked my wolf as I adjusted my red long-sleeve top, which I was wearing with a tight-fitting pair of trousers and a red canvas to match.

"You are so comely and enchanting!" She squealed while I primped my face again, smiling sheepishly.

"Do I look stupid coming with this flower?" I inquired again, as some kind of anxiety crossed my heart.

"No, he'll admire the flowers, they're beautiful," she reassured my worried mind, and it went a long way toward making me feel better.

"Yes, Torian is our fated mate. He will love anything I offer him. " I laughed and increased my pace. Time to get into his arms and get intoxicated by his strong and appealing cologne.

Finally, I got to the gate, and just as I was about to push it open and step in, my face contorted into a deep frown as I heard music jamming through every corner inside the house. I can't tell what was going on in there and that made me curious and confused at the same time.

Torian had mentioned no kind of indoor celebration or party to me all the time when we talked on phone.

Well, I'm here already, so I'll feed my curiosity by checking out what's happening.

I made a shrug and walked in. My eyes roamed around, and I saw different cars parked in the garage. For real, there was a big party occurring.

I rushed forward with the urge to meet him and ask him what was happening. But just then, my eyes flashed at the HAPPY BIRTHDAY caption hung around the top surface of the front pavement. I grimaced and took a deep breath as different thoughts battered my head.

The birthday isn't for Torian, it can't be him, because I know his birth day and month.

"Oh, some of his friends must have pleaded to use his apartment for the party." I mused and released a sigh of relief.

Without wasting a second, I pushed the front door wide open, and my eyes widened at what was dancing right in front of me.

Happy Birthday to Torian.

I blinked continuously and pinched myself to be certain I wasn't having illusions. I can't believe my eyes aren't playing pranks on me.

Right in the middle of the sitting room was a big cake, and everywhere was decorated with glamour and had a grand look. I could equally see every one of his friends, both the ones I knew about and those I hadn't seen. They were all drinking and smoking, and the music was banging and perforating through the walls, creating a frenzy environment.

There were many girls there too, and they were rocking and rolling to the tune as the guys did well at smooching and doing all sorts of things I never cared to look at.

My eyes scanned around for Torian only. I want to meet him. Torian can't be having his birthday party today without telling or caring to invite me.

Tears gathered in my eyes as I flickered and scanned it through every nook and cranny of the room as the thought of heartbreak crept into my mind.

"Hey, Lola, you are back already... today?" I picked up a voice behind me with a pat. I swiveled and saw Jace, Torian's closest friend. I learned he was going to be the Beta when Torian finally become the Alpha.

"Where is Torian?" I shot my question immediately, blinking out tears even when I tried to dry it.

A deep sigh escaped his lips as he grimaced at my question, moved his gaze down to the ground, then back at me, those dark eyes getting dimmer. I was so confused at how his expression changed. Anxiety, worry, and pity were all I could catch from his countenance.

"Jace, what is happening? Is that correct?Is Torian's birthday today? How did I not know?" I asked, with my voice a bit high.

"A birthday celebration. Since he couldn't have his desired party on his birth day, he decided to have it now, "Jace explained under his breath, moving the strands of his messy brown hair away from his face.

"Does that explain why he didn't tell me? Was that the reason? Where is he?" I bawled with furrowed brows, peering at him.

"Lola, you need to unwind, please. I'll go call Torian out, just calm down and...... "

"I don't get you. Tell me where my boyfriend and mate is!!" I half-yelled, interrupting his statement, and I could swear I saw the bewildered stare he directed at me as I mentioned Torian as my mate.

"Boyfriend... mate?" He muttered under his breath, scratching his head.

"What did she just say? Who is her mate?" I heard another voice, which sounded so sarcastic, it made me turn in the direction only to meet a gangster-looking guy. He had Afro-lined hair, tattoos, and a cigar, which he puffed continuously as he sneered at me.

"Don, shut up!" Jace huffed at him before turning back to me.

"Lola, can we talk outside?" He added, and I felt like slapping him. Torian is my mate, and here they are, all acting like I'm a stranger.
