King Derek's POV

My body was boiling with anger as I heard Ethan say those words, I knew there was no way he would let Eleanor and my baby go scot-free, but I was just engaging in the conversation to buy time.

Ethan thought he had the upper hand now, but what he didn't know was that I was expecting his attack on my pack, and I was prepared for him.

"Ethan there is no way I am going to let you harm my son, I will die before I would let that happen" I yelled back at him angrily.

"And what are you going to do about King Derek, it's already too much. I have your pack surrounded and my men are already taking your people hostage" he replied proudly, with a smile on his face.

Just then I saw Lucas my beta behind him, I kept my cool and continued to beg him so he wouldn't notice, but suddenly his expression changed, I think he felt a figure behind him but as soon as he was about to turn my beta hit him of the neck with his sword and he fell on the floor releasing his grip on Eleanor.
