LOGINSelina's Pov
My whole world came crumbling fast, my mind began racing with multiple questions. How? How did it get there? I don't have a gun, how did it get there? My heart ragged, skipping a beat, nearly leaping out my chest. My eyes bloodshot as tears slowly cascaded down my eyes, what will I do? How do I assure my Rose that things will be okay? What do I say to defend myself? My mind is numb, unable to decipher anything. My mind drifted back to what the man had saidーthere's a gun in the station which looks exactly like this oneーsame numberーsame product. My ear ringed loudly, my breath hitched. I slowly moved towards the man, my steps slow. " How... How did... Thi... This... Get here?" I asked, stammering. My palm became cold and itchy. My fingers trembled like I stole something and I was being questioned. But this was far more than that, this was an accusation with all possible evidence against me. " Eva..." He called, turning his head toward his colleague. " This is becoming more and more interesting." A wry smile, tugged across his lips. His head tilted to the side. He raised the gun up above his head with his thumb and index finger. " This is far more than a thriller dear." His tone shifted as if mocking me. " Well, what are we waiting for? Let's search." The female officer said, spreading her hands into the air dramatically. As soon as she took a step forward, she paused. Inserting her hands into her pocket, retrieving her phone. She picked the call, placing the phone over her cheek. " Hello?" She called, tilting her head slightly to look at the Male officer. Some minutes later, she nodded her head, "yes sir." She answered. Immediately, she dropped the call. Letting out a deep sigh, she walked towards me. And as soon as she was close enough, she cuffed my hand with the cold steel. Tears welled up in my eyes. " I'm sorry, Rose." I mouthed, after all my claims, I still could not stop them from taking me away. " Let's move, cowboy, Damien just called." She said, staring into my eyes. " Maybe, you will think it all over and tell us the truth, attorney." She sneered. "Now move." Her voice stern and low. For one second,I turned to look at my husband's family, who were all just staring, and one person gave me the hunch. Sila. He gives me the cringe the most. And I suspect him. The wry smile on his face, more devilish, meaner than that of the devil himself. I stared back at the stairs, just as the tears were about to roll down, Rose came into view, staring down at me like she knew something was wrong and would be wrong in the next moment. I just smiled, " go back to your room, when this is all over, I will come back." I said, trying to sound firm and normal. But, my voice betrayed me at the last moment. It shook as tears welled up in my eyes. My eyes bloodshot as I was pushed out of the house, steps slow. My heart is pounding in my chest. Not for anxiety, but for the burning fire of vengeance flowing in my veins. As soon as I stepped out of the house, the sun cast its light on me. Forcing me to shield my face. Everything is drowning me hard. My husband disappeared, my freedoms gone, my kids survival is at stake, and there's just one option left. But, it was nearly impossible. The organisation. But would they help me? As I raised my head to the sky, my eyes caught a very familiar figure. He leaned on the pole, his head tilted against it, while his hands were folded across his chest. His jet black blonde matching the Jacket he wore, and meeting the beam of the sun light. A smile that was intimidating and could send chills down my spine appeared across his lips. But, I ain't intimidating. The one and only Mateo. My blood went cold, and at the same time it became hit again. I clenched my hand tightly against the cuffs. Blood flushed my cheek, turning red at once. My body vibrated at his sight. His smile almost made me nuts. " I will make you pay in ten folds." I mouthed, knowing he would understand my threat. Almost immediately, the smile on his face disappeared, he unfolded his hands retracting them into his pocket. I smirked, moving towards the cop's car. Now I have a lead. He stood straight, and for a moment, I could see the awe in his eyes, but it was quickly masked with a cold indifference. The officers pushed me before I could even think of rendering another threat. We stepped into the car, almost immediately, the car zoomed off, and I could just stare at my house from a distance. Tears welled up in my eyes, but I didn't allow them to fall. Now that I have a lead, I must take the step. It's a mustー As soon as the car came to a halt, the car door was opened, and I was dragged out of the car... I inhaled sharply, the damp smell of dust hit my nose. I could taste it on my buds. "Move!" The cop pushed me as if I was a criminal. Oh, I was... To them actually. I was dragged into the police station, screaming and noise coming from all angles as I was dragged amidst the criminals. Most of them stared at me in awe, while some stared with vengeance. Most criminals here landed here through me. So, it was a surprising thing to see me here for them. The man opened the steel door, pushing me into the cell. The stench hit my nose hard and I was sure that I was close to puking, but it stopped. I stared at the four walls. The cold steel sent shivers down my spine. Rose's words replayed at the back of my headーher instinctーthe one I never believed. She said it, and it was true. She warned me, I was supposed to act. But, I slept off. My heart ached, my breathing hitched. " Ahhh!!!" I screamed, landing a tight punch on the wall. Tears slowly cascaded down my cheek, my ears rang, strange whistling as I stared at my knuckles, the bruised mark on it. My hands began trembling, as a strong surge of pain rushed through my veins. " Ah!!" I screamed again. My voice echoed through the four corners of the cell wall. I sank into the wall, as I slowly slid down. Knees buckled, I covered my face with my hands. " No, no, no." The cold wall is sending shivers down my spine. The light that fought it way through the hole was the only source of light in where he kept me. I closed my eyes, only for me to see Mateo again with a mocking smile across his lips. " I will never let you go! I will kill you, Mateo." I said, my voice stern, low, and subtle. My hands clenched into a fist. I could not hold my tears anymore, who would take care of my kids? Who would tell them it's okay? Who will watch out for Daniel when he's claustrophobic again? Who will help Rose calm down? Who will advise Luna? Multiple questions resounded at the back of my mind. All were drowning me, and I could not answer all. My muscles became stiff, and slowly, I closed my eyes, drowning into the darkness... My eyes fluttered open, the bright sun casting the shadows on one end of the cell walls. Isn't it dark yet? I swiped the dust around my face. My muscles were damp from yesterday's mission and now I haven't had a proper resting period. I stood up, slowly making my way to the steel cell door. And before I could reach the door, the man from this morning stopped in front of my cell, he opened the door. He had a towering figure, and was hovering over me. " A guy's here to see you." He said, " he says, it's urgent." He added, his voice bluntly cold. I nodded, walking out of the cell, " lead the way." I bellowed, my voice stern, more like I was giving the order... He stared at me for some second, and finally, he did what I said. I watched his back as he moved out of the cell walls... As soon as I entered the white room, I hissed, folding my hands across my chest. Out of all, I wasn't expecting him, Mateo. He sat across the table. " I am here to offer a brilliant deal." He said, his voice low, placing his hands right on the table. A deal? He must be crazy!Mateo's PovI smirked, retracting my hands into my pocket as I made my way out of the police station. I turned to look at the whole station again. And reminded myself about my success today. I thought it would be hard to crack, but it came off easily. I was so wowed. I turned back heading towards my car. Now, I was certain Serena would not chase my case anymore, in return I took her kids into custody. As soon as I got into the Lamborghini, I drove straight to her home, the familiar home that she lives in to send that useless threat to me every morning. Like I was a toy…As soon as I got to her villa, I got out of my car, raising my head to spare the villa a glance. At last, I got to step foot in this house. “ Stupid attorney,” I mumbled to myself, staring at the white building in front of me. Almost immediately, I slammed the car door. As I make my way towards the brown oak door. It was one of a kind, wow. This lady is richer than I thought. She is living life. I raised my hand r
Selina's PovWow, in my years of experience I've never seen my enemies wanting to make a deal with me, not even him. I wonder what brought him to this conclusion. I took a step closer, my hands crossed above my chest and a wry smile tugged across my lips. “ And why do you think I'd agree to this deal of yours?” I asked, my voice low. “ Because, I know you will.” He said, “ you will never let go of a gold bar. That I know for sure.” He said, his voice cold, he smirked. “ Mateo, what do you want?” I asked. As far as I know this guy, I know he doesn't make unreasonable moves. Although, I call this one move crazy. As I was about to sit down, a loud bang rattled the door. My head snapped towards the door, and before I could speak, the voice came through. “ You have 45 minutes girl!” That familiar masculine voice came through. I hissed, turning my head back toward Mateo. I gave a curt nod signalling him to continue. “ I will get you out of here soon,” he said. “ I want you to let go

Serena's Pov I leaned into the couch, arms crossed above my chest. Closing my eyes, I inhaled sharply. Their words resound at the back of my mindーmurderーTheodoreーdead. My world crumbled, muscles aching badly. " Can I see the pics of who you are talking about?" I asked, wanting to be sure. Despite the fact that they have the proof. I still don't want to believe it's my husband, I don't want to believe it's Theodore. The man took out a small photo from his pocket, handing it over to me. I collected the photo from him. My vision blurred as soon as I saw who it was. Theodore. He had a hole in his chest with blood smeared across his white singlet. Something caught my eye in the picture, the background. The whole thing was familiar. The whole thing looks very familiar, it looks more like my courtyard. I swallowed the lumps at the back of my throat. " When did this happen?" I asked, returning the photo back to him. I needed to know how it happened, when it happened. The officers tu
Serena's POV " Mum! Daniel has a girlfriend!" Luna's voice boomed through the room followed with a tremendous clatter. I opened my eyes slightly, turning my head toward the spot they stood, and a strong smell of coffee hit my nose. Oh gawd, they just broke my new jug once again, damn. Am I really the one that gave birth to these kids? The neat marble turned brown immediately. My eyes twitching badly, as they started burning me, tears welled up in my eye. I felt the tear wanting to make its way out of my eye lid. I closed my eyes again, my head throbbing really hard. " Mum, Luna sneaked out of the house very late last night!" Daniel yelled, his voice boomed through the living room. My brain released a tiny explosion, forcing my eyes open again. I pressed my palm against my temples as if I could physically hold them together. And despite being old enough, they find it hard to be friendly with each other. Those twins burst my brain everyday. Plus, my muscles were already weak fro
