Chapter One hundred and nine (Dane's POV) Present Time

"If I may say something … father," Anastasios Martas said, stepping forward as the guards surrounded us. The guardians stood with me in the circle and totally refused to move.

"Don't tell me you want to speak in his defense?" Zeus said, giving him a cold stare.

"Not a defense per se, but a report …" he said. Zeus sat back. Tabitha and Keanu looked crestfallen. Serene and Hekate rushed to pick the two up and murmured something to them that assuaged them.
