When the Silverwolf Pack paid my family a visit, I was still trying to cope with the pain that was inflicted on me during my last life. I only snapped out of my trance when I caught sight of Blaise and his parents, who were currently seated on the couch.

Blaise Larkin's parents, the Alpha and Luna of the Silverwolf Pack, were asking me to be his mate. They claimed that I was arranged mates with the future Alpha of their pack, and wanted to pick a date for the bonding ceremony.

"We know that you've had a crush on Blaise for years. If you are bonded together and our packs form an alliance…"

My parents had an awkward smile on their faces. The Silverwolf Pack only came to us with this proposal because they were under threat from rival packs and were now on the verge of falling apart. Hence, they desperately needed our pack to provide them with resources and manpower to stay afloat.

The Larkins knew that I'd liked Blaise for five years. They were confident that I would jump at the opportunity to be his mate as soon as they brought it up.

When I didn't reply, Blaise's mother—Vivian Clarke—gently took my hand and asked, "Don't you like Blaise, Olivia?"

I paused for a moment. Then, I scoffed inwardly as I watched her put on an act.

"I found a love letter addressed to you in Blaise's room last night," she said, looking pleased. "I know I shouldn't have snooped, but my son refused to tell me about the she-wolf he had a crush on. I'm relieved that it turned out to be you."

Relieved? She was probably thrilled that she was able to carve up all of my pack's resources and pocket them as if they were her own.

Vivian slowly began to reveal her true intentions.

"You're a wonderful she-wolf, Olivia. Since you're arranged mates with the future Alpha of our pack, what if…" she trailed off.

My parents nodded in agreement.

"Olivia is constantly talking about becoming Blaise's mate. Since the pair seems to like each other, we think it's a great idea for them to be bonded together too."

Vivian broke into a huge smile. "That's exactly what I was about to say. I'm glad to hear that Olivia feels the same way about my son.

"Shall we pick a date for the bonding ceremony and finalize the arrangement? As Blaise's mate, you'll be the pack's Luna once he becomes the next Alpha."

A bonding ceremony? Blaise and I?

I scoffed coldly. After what he did to me in my last life, I wanted Blaise to rot in hell.

"Wait!" I abruptly interrupted their conversation. "I don't want to become Blaise's mate."
