Clutches

Three hours pass. Elizabeth is dropped home by the nurse.

“Thanks again, Nurse Chan,” Elizabeth says, waving at the nurse as she begins to drive off.

“My pleasure, Elizabeth. Take care,” the nurse says. She then watches Elizabeth climb the stairs into his apartment. Her eyes begin to glow with a burning intensity of green fire before she pulls off.

As the nurse drives away, Elizabeth opens the door in the apartment and throws his backpack on the floor. Exhausted from the flashes that he had seen, Elizabeth plops o
