Chapter Forty-Three

The room was dark as Annie opened her eyes. She was laying in bed with Candy. The wolfs wild pink and blue hair a wavy mess that covered her face. Moving closer, she brought her hand up, pushing the hair out of her face.

Annie propped her chin on her hand as she moved her fingers over the short bridge of Candy’s nose. In sleep, her mate looked much younger than she knew her to be. Her face scrubbed clean of the dark eye makeup she liked to wear. Her lips now a pale pink instead of the dark maroon color she normally wore.

She was beautiful, Annie moved her fingers over her cheek. Tracing the spot where her dimples were when she smiled.

“Baby, what are you doing?” Candy asked, her voice groggy with sleep as she cracked open an eye to look at her.

“Just looking at you.”

“Like what you see?” Candy asked, rolling onto her side as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

“I do.”

“Good, lets go back to sleep.” Candy whispered as she kissed Annie before burrowing deeper into the covers.

“I need t
