บททั้งหมดของ Alpha King's Runaway Mate: บทที่ 21 - บทที่ 30

"It's okay, I can carry her in my arms," I told the guards who had come to the bus stop to receive me and my daughter.Hope had fallen asleep long before we reached it as the journey was tiring and I never knew this pack was far away from my old pack. They grabbed and filled the bags in a separate car whilst I slid inside with Hope in my arms.I had to calm my nerves down by inhaling and exhaling from my partially parted lips in order to avoid these feelings that were boiling inside me.I was sleepy too. My eyes were giving up on me.Once the car stopped in front of an enormous mansion that I could only see from afar. There was a small guest house we were headed towards. I thought a little and walked out with my sleeping daughter and followed the guards to the annex."If you need anything, give us just one call," the guard said before walking out of the annex. It was a small cozy guest house having two bedrooms with attached bathrooms

The next few days went by in peace and I didn’t get to face any of them. I believe their mission of showing me they are happy and I shouldn’t try anything was all that I was going to face. They were not going to bother me anymore, or so I thought until I heard a knock on the door while I was recording a video session.“Ugh!” I growled at whoever was bothering me when I have left a sign of do not disturb right outside the annex. Hope has started going to her new school so at least that issue was dealt with.“Yes?” I opened the door and peeked outside to see Roxanne standing with the door with a tray in her hand.“What do you want now?” I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her arrival.“You are not going to invite me to my own house?” she was good at reminding me nonstop that she is the owner of the pack and everything.“Sure! It’s not like I will ask you to leave and you will,&

“Idiot!” I grunted, watching Hope from outside the room as she FaceTime Desmond. I didn’t tell him much so that he doesn’t leave everything behind and comes here for her. His own life and career should matter to him as well.It was the next day, and I was still bitter over what Silas had said about me last night.“He thinks just because he gave me a lift, he can say whatever he wants about me?” I was pacing back and forth anxiously and biting my lower lip.“Ughh!” I grunted and slapped my forehead. The weather was clear and nice but Hope refused to leave her room, which was sort of a good thing since Alpha King Silas had already warned me to keep my child away from him.“Nobody wants to keep a relationship with me? What did he mean by that? Did I not tell him that my husband loves and cares for me?” I pouted, “Oh no! I only said that about Hope. Silas needs to know that I am in a fortunate

The dinner finally came to an end and this entire time, Hope hadn’t sat next to me. Roxanne fed her while Hope sat in her lap.I felt like an outsider, to be honest. I might look like a strong person, but every person gets upset. The way Desmond ignored me tonight made me think about where I am in my life. I did so much for Hope, but I feel like she isn’t happy with me.I have never seen her this happy before and where it was a calming thing; it was also concerning.“I am ready,” Hope broke me out of my state of immense thinking and rushed out of her room wearing a beautiful white dress. She looked like she had walked down the stairs of heaven looking like an angel.“You look pretty, but you cannot go,” I stole eyes from her, “Mommy has some work and you will be facetiming your father,” I announced excitedly, hoping that would make her happy but she looked mad as hell.“I don’t want to tal

"Good night," I heard Silas greet me as he walked out of the door, saying nothing else.I stayed still in my spot and then took steady steps to reach the door and lock it. I then checked up on Hope to ask her how was her day and she didn’t look very excited to share anything with me.“Are you still angry with your mommy?” I stood in the door, watching her pout and forcing her eyes shut to pretend like she had fallen asleep.“Good night, and just know that mommy loves you more than anything,” I kissed her forehead and left her to sleep. Walking out of her room hit differently. I felt defeated and alone.I sat down on the couch and held the phone in my hands, thinking about how to correct my mistakes.Me: I am so sorry that I hurt you. I was actually pulling a prank on you as April fool’s day is arriving. I should have known it will hurt you immensely. It wasn’t long before he called my number and I at
