Jasper. Everyone was waiting in the ante-room when ruby and I arrived. Randolph and Kevin stood up and approached me. We shook and hugged. "Glad you could both make it under short notice," I thanked them, and Randolph smiled at me. "Anything for you, buddy," he said, and I looked at Ian and Brian. I was glad Nala wasn't there. "Randolph, Kevin, meet my older brother, Ian. He is now the gamma of Brooksbridge." I said, introducing Ian, and he stood up and shook my friends. "Pleased to meet you," Randolph said, shaking his hands firmly. "Me too," Kevin said, shaking Ian's hand. "What the fuck, Jasper. Is this not Pavel?" Kevin linked me, and I smiled to play it off. "We will talk later," I linked him back, and he did not say anything else. "Shall we?" I asked everyone, and they stood up. Ruby went with Rachael and Cindy while we headed to the cold room. "Are you sure you are up for this?" I asked Ian, and he smiled at me. "This will be fun, Jasper. I have wanted to belong somew

Jasper The barbecue event was fun, and I was glad Kevin organised it. They all got to experience Ian's soft side and took to him quickly. Nala did not disappoint either, she showed her true colours to Ruby, and I was glad my mate put her in her place. I knew Ruby tolerated her for Ian's sake, and I was delighted she put my brother into consideration and did not embarrass him. I looked at the clock, and it was almost twelve o'clock. I knew that the werewolf council representative would soon arrive. I looked at Ruby, and she was sleeping peacefully. I looked at her hand, hoping it would have healed a bit by now. I leaned to kiss her, and she woke up after I planted a kiss on her lips. "Jasper," she groaned, and I smiled at her. "Afternoon," I said, and she fluttered her eyes and then focused her stare. "We slept till afternoon?" she asked, and I helped her sit up. "Wow, we had a long night," she said, and I laughed. "Bath or shower?" I asked her, and she smiled. "Shower.

Ruby. I met Racheal and Cindy in the room. Garnet and Emerald were sleeping, but Susan and Isabelle were something else. They fought about everything those two, and they remind me of Racheal. She used to fight me over my toys when we were little. I noticed Racheal wasn't looking so happy, and I did not know if I should ask her since the nannies were present. Susan and Isabelle were fighting over a Plush bunny toy, so I linked a nanny to get another like it in the store because I knew most of the toys were in doubles when I arrived. She left to get it while I went to separate them. I pulled Isabelle close and told her to calm down and that someone was bringing her the same toy. I hoped she understood me well enough because she let go of the bunny, and Susan went away with it. Usually, Racheal would laugh, but she just smiled. I noticed that the triplets and their nannies were not in the room, so I asked Cindy where they were. "Strolling. I needed it," she said, rolling her eyes, and i

Jasper. We emerged from the forest and found a search party. They said Ruby put them to it. It was evident that the settlement was in disarray. I could understand their fear. We had disappeared without warning, no phone calls, nothing. We went into the woods to neutralise a threat and did not return; I could imagine how the explanation would sound to our mates. I dreaded what would happen to me in our bedroom. Ruby was bound to be mad, and I wouldn't blame her. "The pack loves you, Nikolas," Uncle Abel said, and I sighed. This was all his fault; he should have just escorted us back instead of being dramatic and ushered us to his camp. Now we all had explaining to do. I felt sorry for Randolph and Ian most. Kevin and I had it good because our mates were understanding. Brian had none, so he was alright. "We walked toward the mansion, and the women were waiting at the entrance. Someone must have linked Ruby about our arrival. With how they were dressed, it seemed as if they were ready

Jasper. After the meeting in the lounge, I decided to take a walk with my uncle. It was vital for him to understand that I did not intend to overthrow the council. There were laws against it, and I doubted if I wanted to be on the wrong side of the law. It was annoying that the council did not want to help with the attacks and Petra's cult, but I did not want to work against them. "You have a good thing going on for you here, Jasper," he said, calling me Jasper for the first time. I guess he caught on that the people closest to me referred to me as Jasper and not Nikolas, as he had been saying. "Navel was proud of you. I heard you held your wolf form for two months. That is unheard of. The max I have heard is a month." He said, and I laughed. "My son Garnet held form for six weeks, and it would have been longer if it was because of his twin," I said, and he looked at me, surprised. "You mean Ruby birthed strong pubs?" he asked, and I laughed. "An Alpha and Gamma," I said, and he
