It was sunday, no hurry to get up early morning. Parth woke up at 8 o'clock. " Today, i have to go sport complex for basketball practice. " he thought but before brushing his teeth, he went in the balcony. " Hi Parth! Good morning." Isla waved her hand and almost shouted from her compound. " Good morning. " Parth replied and smiled. He looked around the compound to see Ryan's car. It was deep black Mercedes in which he used to go for the basketball practice. Parth had not seen him going college yet. It's because he used to go school earlier than Ryan.

“So what do you got there buddies?” Mason grins playfully. “That’s my man! Anyways, our men has already started digging dirt about your infamous WIFE!” I scrunched my nose in annoyance. “Please!?!! I’ve had enough so stop reminding me will you!?!!” The jerks slash friends of mine laugh. They’re really good in messing with me. As good as helping me though with all of this troubles. “We have to wait for maybe 24 hours the maximum! For now I will advise you to check on your Yanna bear! Make sure Natalia won’t come near her as we are still waiting for results!” Kyle said seriously.

The next morning, Chance found himself waking up in the lavish apartment that belonged to the one and only Dr. Tyson (which, by the way, Chance still couldn't believe). As he stared at his surroundings, he noticed it was almost afternoon, and that this was the longest he had slept ever since his internship started. Chance couldn’t sleep comfortably or for long in the places that were unknown to him, which is why he would stay awake the entire night in the night shifts, but somehow in the mix of soft mattress and being incredibly tired, he slept quite peacefully.

Lara recalled the cluster of security men converging on the helipad, blurred glimpses of an incredibly large white villa, and heat that only increased the nonstop pounding behind her temples. Jet lag had finally caught up with her. A rueful grimace slanted her face as she gingerly slid out of bed to gratefully appreciate that the ground beneath her feet was no longer rocking. It was dark outside. Locating the bedside light, Lara glanced at her watch. “8 pm… Are you kidding me?” The housekeeper, at least Lara assumed the warm, matronly woman who had come to her assistance was the housekeeper, had been a merciful savior. She had taken charge, banishing Christophe and helping Lara to bed.

Chapter Thirty Four Day Eight Bisola opened her eyes as the alarm beside her bed rang for the tenth time, reluctantly she had to woke up and face the challenges for today, it was when she was enjoying her morning sleep that she had to woke up again. Actually Bisola had just a little bit of sleep last night, not because she dreamt about Dapo or thinking about him, she slept very late because of herself.

He laughed out loud freezing all of us from terror. “You all have survived for 48 hours, congratulations to all of you… Let’s see how long you all could make it.” He announced evilly from the speaker. The people around me looked at each other quietly, while one inhaled quietly, “48 hours…” Yes, 48 hours which meant two days had passed, and two men had been killed by this man, but the question remained all the time from the beginning till now, why did this man kidnap us? The average employee of the news firm, why?

[COUNTDOWN TO ETERNAL FROST: 48 HOURS, 11 MINUTES. Forty-eight hours. That was all humanity had left before the world froze solid. But as I looked around the underground fortress—the endless supplies, the sealed vaults, the man standing silently beside me—a cold smile slowly spread across my face. Ruthless. Certain. Ready. Let the frost come.

Outside the war room windows, the sky is shifting from black to grey—dawn coming whether we’re ready or not. Forty-eight hours. That’s all we had left. But right now? We’re just two people holding each other while the world burns. I think that’s enough.

Forty-eight to seventy-two hours was not a timeline. It was a room. A narrow room with no windows, no chairs, and no door I could open from the inside. I carried it with me all night. Forty-eight to seventy-two hours while brushing my teeth. Forty-eight to seventy-two hours while checking Daniel’s bedroom door. Forty-eight to seventy-two hours while lying beside Lucian, staring into the dark, feeling his warmth beside me and wondering if science was already sharpening a knife somewhere with both our names on it.
