I exclaimed as my eyes widened— the realization had hit me. I’ve gone back In time. One year ago from the day I had died. “No…No, this can’t be happening”, I said with a trembling voice. This had to be a dream, i pinched myself hard, I winced at the pain and a red mark formed at the spot where my fingers had dug in.

I almost jerked out of the bed when I heard his gruff voice because I just had him a few hours ago. I turned 18 at the stroke of 12 midnight. The boys and I partied because I finally got my wolf. I only slept two hours ago and now awoke because of the damn plates the maid threw on the floor. How could she be so clumpy as to let that happen? Now thanks to her, I had to leave the sweet dream I was just having. "You can leave now." My voice came out harsher than intended, but I didn't care less, there was nothing I hated more than being awoken.

He was staring at my clothes now, his eyes moving from my dirty sneakers to the hole in my jeans to the faded logo on my sweatshirt, and I could actually see the moment he understood that centuries had passed while he slept. “How long?” he asked hoarsely. “How long was I—” “Three hundred years,” I said quietly. “Give or take.” His legs seemed to give out and he sat back down on the platform hard. His head dropped into his hands and his shoulders started shaking, and the sound he made was somewhere between a sob and a growl. I should have kept my distance, should have given him space to process, but instead I found myself moving closer and sitting down next to him on the cold stone.

If I ever had the chance to wish for something, I would ask for a heart made of stone. Yet, I didn’t even notice when I dozed off beside him. I hate to admit it, but it was the best sleep I'd had in weeks. Even as my body started to ache, I was jolted awake by a gentle nudge. "Gem!" A hand shook me lightly, making me growl and turn my head away. "Wake up! You've been asleep for two years," the voice announced, catching me completely off guard. I'd just fallen asleep—what was going on? Who was this person urging me to wake up?

How dare he remind her how much it hurts. "After seven long years, nothing has changed. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I hear is Mignus' name. Even in the middle of the night, I lie awake and call out his name over and over. And I feel It seems like it was only yesterday that we talked. It seems like it was just yesterday when he said that we would meet soon. It seems like it was just yesterday when I last saw his smile. All of that seems like it was just yesterday. But it isn't.

Flashback I heard my mom whispering for me to wake up. She shook me slightly and when I sat up, she motioned for me to keep quiet with her index finger pressed on her lips. I looked at her and wondered why she was waking me up in the middle of the night. She looked frightened. She outstretched my left palm and slipped her chain in my palm and closed it with her fingers wrapped around my small hand. I was only seven back then. I couldn’t understand the matter with my mom.

she asked curiously not capitalizing the word. "Well I mean I've only known her seven hours", he paused turned to look at the time on his watch nodded, and then said, "Correction: I've only known her six hours", he turned to Ash, "Which makes it officially twenty-seven hours that I've been awake", he yawned sleepily. Ash stared at him shocked, "Which explains why you fell asleep a few seconds ago", he paused, "Hang on, TWENTY SEVEN HOURS!" he shrieked, "What the hell? What time did you wake up?" he asked practically screeching.

Alina's Pov I had been going in and out of darkness every now and then. It was like this little breakdown had completely drained me out. I had no sense of my surroundings whatsoever. And the medicines weren't helping at all to keep me awake. But this time when I woke up, I saw myself in an oddly familiar room. But I couldn't wrap my head around it. I wasn't in the hospital room any longer. The bed I was lying on was awfully comfortable to my surprise. I sat up groaning, the ache in my body still there. I felt like I was literally 90 years old. That's how my bones were aching and cracking against each other.

Ten years later ~~~~~ Orla's POV I woke up as the sunlight fall on my face. I found it difficult to open my eyes directly so I sat up on the bed, stretched my body, yawned, and opened my eyes with a wide smile on my lips. Ten years! It's been ten years since I and Angus became one. From that day he is taking care of me like a baby, making sure that I am not waking up and sleeping without a smile on my face.

I didn't wait for him to come back. I had already slept off. . . . I eventually woke up hours later. Yawning, I blinked my eyes open and stared around. The room was really bright and one glance at the wall clock told me it was mid-mornning. How long did I sleep? I tried to sit up but my body protested the movement, reminding me of what I had terribly forgotten. Gosh, I was even tingling in places I didn't even know existed!
