The Calling Chapter 1 I am walking down the cliffy road, it’s dark out with only the street lamp to illuminate my path. I am slightly cold and very irritated at my current situation. I had gotten to my car only to discover the battery dead. Obviously the car would not start, could not even unlock the bloody door via car remote.

The first chapter sets the tone: Tshepo’s secret gambling problem begins to intertwine with family tensions, creating ripples that will affect everyone. Chapter 1 – Tshepo’s Gamble (Expanded) Tshepo sat at the edge of the small table in his apartment, the weight of another week’s losses pressing down on him. The cards lay scattered, remnants of the late-night gambling sessions he’d promised himself would end “just this once.” The numbers on the receipt from the betting shop seemed to mock him: debts he couldn’t ignore, lies he couldn’t untangle, and a future that felt increasingly unstable.

I'm glad you're here, do read further please, Before you go further i should warn you, the first five to ten chapters are somewhat different from the rest because i started this book with the mind of a child. But as you progress into the story, you will find the book to be good, i hope. Um this book is your typical bad boy falls in love with nerd but there will be twists that make it a not so cliché book.

Rissa's pov: Mykel removed my hand from his shirt and it covered up the tattoo. I knew it! He's a bad person. He's just pretending for now but very soon, he'd start carrying out his evil plans against our family. If he was so righteous like mom claimed, why would there be a tattoo on his skin? "You're pathetic, make sure you don't come close to me ever again!" I rasped and he glanced at me. He didn't utter a word and took his eyes back on the road.

I turn on the torch and flip the book to where I stop, which is page eighty-nine, and I continue from where I stop. Why do bad things happen to good people? I ask myself, as I flip open the next page, which is now page 124. The book gets dreadful and as much as I hate suspense; I have to read my way through and I am almost out of the woods with the suspense when I hear a knock on my door.
