A Passage From A Book Novels & Stories

The books on the floor continued piling up, and the dust from the books almost killed me. There had to be something—there just had to. My hand closed around a red leather book, and when I pulled it, it didn't come free. Instead, I heard a click. The entire bookshelf shuddered, then slowly swung inward, revealing a dark secret passage behind it. "Oh my god," I breathed in disbelief. "Oh my god, it's real." And right in time, too. The door behind me was cracking—they were almost through. I didn't hesitate. I squeezed through the gap into the passage, then grabbed the bookshelf from the inside and pulled it closed just as the bedroom door burst open.

The book wasn’t here, yet the words burned clearly across my vision. My breath ceased. I could read the message written on the page. This is not the first time it has happened.

The book was an ancient one from the looks, it had latin words and strange patterns written all over it. The only understandable word was the bold 'Garou' written at the top. I touched the book in Crescent's hand expecting to get the same reaction, but i didnt, it was just normal. I guess the book knows what it's doing, it wanted Crescent to open it. Scratch that, it wasn't normal, the feeling of touching the book was different from the feeling of touching a normal book. It felt like the book had a life of it's own. "Should we open it?" Crescent asked." I don't think we should, we aren't supposed to be here in the first place" I said and he agreed with me, then he put the book back in it's p

Flipping through the pages of the book gently, I read through then flip again. In some moments, I have read a whole lot of pages. Entering a new chapter of the book, I find it so interesting, especially the topic. I came across a saying that shocked me when I read almost to the end of that paragraph, "one that held the key to salvation," I couldn't believe a book would contain that kind of line. I read further then, found an hidden truth in the book. I didn't think such a book would contain something powerful than I thought.

“Books!” “Yes. And there are books that act like passages into this world that exist within those books. Ruin called it an ancient fae magic. And there are certain symbols and patterns in those passage books which, when drawn with a special kind of ink and quill, open the passage into the world that they refer to as a museum.” “I don’t believe it,” Verity said, lost somewhere in the cover of the books on the table. “You mean one of these could be that passage book?”

Chloe opened the book and her eyes widened. This book... She scanned the pages and then let out a huff of disbelief. Why are there empty pages?

Gazing back towards the book, it felt as if something was pushing me towards it. I got up and walked towards the book. Placing it on my lap I noticed that the cover was filled with complicated detailing. The material felt rough, it felt old but well-taken care of. The colors were a mixture of ash grey, gold, and specks of white, the title was written in crimson red. I shake my head and move on. Walking to the wall where I saw the picture moving, I feel around. At first, it seems like an ordinary wall. But then, I realize there’s a slight separation between panels. This doesn’t seem right. Looking at the bookshelves close by, I begin to tip books up, looking for the strangest ones first, the most worn ones, the biggest ones. I pull on a book that says, “How to Win at War,” and I hear the creaking noise again. The wall opens up. It’s a secret passage.

She approached it cautiously, her heart pounding with anticipation. "This book... it feels important," she said, reaching out to touch it. The moment her fingers made contact with the cover, the symbols flared to life, casting a brilliant light throughout the room. Kai, Allan, Lila, and Seraphina gathered around Alex as she carefully opened the book. The pages were filled with intricate drawings and cryptic text, written in a language none of them recognized.
