“I’ll be there, as long as you’re willing to walk.” When everything was done, we left the library with the book bag in hand. As the glass doors opened, the afternoon breeze brushed against my face, fresh and warm. In the parking lot, sunlight reflected off Liam’s car, making it gleam. I walked slowly toward the passenger door, lowering my gaze to the book and smiling to myself. I didn’t know what would happen next. I didn’t know how the process of writing this book would unfold, or whether I would ever be able to contact the person who created that cover.

The park was a quiet oasis in the middle of the city, a secluded space where the sunlight filtered softly through the branches, casting playful shadows on the ground. Blaire arrived early, a bit unsure, fiddling with her phone and running her fingers over the slightly worn edge of the park bench. She took a deep breath as she spotted Damien walking toward her, his usual confident stride making him look as though he owned every inch of ground beneath his feet.

——— The park was bigger than I expected. Not that I knew what to expect—I’d never been to one. Never seen a place with that much stuffs and too many things going on at once. There were people everywhere. Kids screaming, teenagers running wild, couples tucked into benches like they were in a movie. The air smelled like fried sugar and something grilled. I didn’t know where to look first. Nikolai stayed close but didn’t say much. He just slid his hand into mine, gripping them tightly like I’d get lost.. He was still in his suit, still looked like he could kill someone five minutes from now, but he followed me anyway as I tugged him.

As Tessa walk to the park more freely without being constrained by the cast she feels vibrant. Although confused about the events of the morning but decide to not rhink about it too much. Now she will be able to explore the town, go hiking into the forest. Taking in the nature on her own. She feels drawn to the forest for some reason. It's like an urgent calling in her. As she walks down the path, she sees a familiar face sitting on the bench. Deep in thought with a worried expression on his handsome face, she eyes him from a distance and decided she really liked what she saw, but remembering the weird feelings she got when thwir hands tought she hesitantly stood still not ready to face him

I chose that route not because it was safe, but because it was sacred. Leaves curled and fell onto the stone walkway as I entered. The park's lighting was minimal, a couple of lampposts casting golden domes onto the gravel path. My boots brushed past old weeds growing through cracks. The air smelled like jasmine and rain, heavy and grounding. I felt stripped and exposed, yet untouchable in my solitude.

I didn't think I would have walked for too long because I have. I am somewhere near Central Park now, not too far from Ros's home. But I will have to walk back with caution just to not get lost on my way back home. Seriously ughhh forest was so much better to navigate through. I will look at these parks don't even have enough greenery to take a walk in, highly disappointing. When I walk a little further, I see a small boy struggling to order ice cream for himself. The ice cream counter of the van was too high for him. Okay, so that small human wants ice cream. oh, these small humans are so much similar to our wereWolf pups at home.

Somehow, I wanted to think it was all fake and unreal but gladly, they were authentic. I shut down my laptop and changed into comfortable clothes. I was going for a walk after a long time. Might be my last walk in my little town so I planned on savoring every tiny detail of it. I got to the park and sat on a bench. What caught my attention first were the swaying trees. The trees, so caged yet so free. Dancing with the wind but never moving with it. Standing so tall, yet so invisible. I looked at the children running and falling about. They seemed free and cared less about anything in the world, except for their candies and toys and probably, their friends and family.

I giggle and state in a bossy way, “The park it is.” It’s a twenty-minute walk, more or less, from Carmelia Street to the central park. But I don’t find it tiresome. Instead, I hope the distance can be further so we can hold hands a second longer. The feeling of walking together with him hand-in-hand drowns my heart in a blissful sensation. I might be uncomfortable but I don’t think I hate it. Even the silence between us feels right. We don’t need to talk to have fun.

I tell myself this is because it is large and well-maintained and a reasonable place to walk. I enter through the north gate. The park is doing what parks do on October mornings, the light coming through the trees at the angle that turns everything slightly amber and the leaves coming down in slow turns and the fountain doing its endless thing at the center, and I stand on the path and breathe and tell myself I am here for the air. The air is good. Paris air in October is genuinely, specifically good. I walk further into the park. Then I see the children. Three of them.

ISLA POV THE PARK The warm afternoon sun filtered through the trees as we strolled through the park, the scent of fresh grass and blooming flowers filling the air. It felt good to be outside again, to breathe in fresh air after being cooped up in a hospital room for days. Adrian held my hand tightly, as if afraid I’d disappear again. He hadn’t left my side since I woke up, and honestly, I didn’t want him to. Sophie and Leo trailed behind us, their laughter echoing through the park. They’d been relentless, teasing Adrian about how much of a mother hen he had become.
