“It’s none of your business, Addam.” “Fine, if you say so,” he shrugged. His calm demeanor only irritated her more. “So…?” Tiffany asked, tapping her foot. She didn’t have time for his antics. “Tiffany, slow down. I’ve been waiting here for twenty minutes,” Addam said, his patience thinning. He pushed himself off the car and walked toward her, his eyes locked on hers. “Oh, please,” Tiffany snapped. “Just tell me why I’m here.” Addam took a deep breath, visibly restraining himself. “Alright, here’s the deal. I want us to work together,to bring pain to Aurora.”

I gasped, as something splashed on my face, and I could smell the disgusting fishy water. "Two," Adams sneered, " You are useless and a disgrace to this school. And three, you are just a stupid shameful slut who thinks I, Adams Black would have anything to do with someone like you!" He stepped away from me, and I let out a sharp breath, unable to lift my hands which burned so badly. I lifted my head to stare at him, but my hair, dripping with ketchup, and whipped cream, covered my face. "Wait. I'm kinda confused here. Adams, did she just say she's carrying your child?" Lisa, my once best friend, cackled as she walked towards Adams.

I was looking forward to the family's questions, but when we got there, Adam simply went upstairs to his room. He seemed depressed, so I wanted to be a good sister and go to the kitchen and get him his favorite eggnog drink.

Adom laughed weakly and linked their arms. "Forgive me, Ammy. I am still soaking in my good fortune! I have loved Jane since we were children, pining after her and dreaming of being her omega. Her family disapproves, you see. My father was a physician to Jane's family, that's how we met as children. Her family believes she could do better, and I agree. Lucky for me Jane is steadfast in her love for me, and we are to be wed this autumn. Her family dotes on her and she usually gets what she wants." Like most good Dommes, she misses little and I have no idea if I fooled her. We make solid plans for our shopping trip and say our goodbyes. It's after two a.m. and I'm exhausted. He saw the company as an opportunity to get me to marry him, and his wishes were granted by my father. Adam jumped off the bridge right after loosing his bet. He threw my family into grave confusion, yet he left us with his wife and children. As much as mother used to love him, she never visited his burial since all the anniversaries.

Mother had opened and closed her mouth repeatedly like a fish before she could find something to say. Her insistence to break up with Vance only pushed me toward him more. He was my contingency plan till the day I set my eyes on Adam. All my carefully laid down plans to get with Vance till I no longer needed him flew out the window as all I could think about was Adam. Never in my life had I felt what I did from that day for anyone.
