I want the earth to open up and swallow me. That’d be great. Ten out of ten. No notes. Instead, I’m sitting here drenched in humiliation, while Matthew Jones—the human iceberg, tech billionaire, and apparently now also water victim—dabs his expensive shirt with a linen napkin like he’s suppressing the urge to flip the entire table. He hasn’t said a word in at least thirty seconds. Just slow, composed dabs. Like a serial killer politely cleaning up after a murder.

I found Lorenzo in his office, staring at the chaos unfolding on his laptop screen. “This is bad,” he muttered, barely acknowledging my presence. “Worse than anything we’ve faced before.” I placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, my voice soft. “We’ll get through this, Lorenzo. We always do.” But deep down, I knew this was the beginning of the end for the Matrix. Meanwhile, in a cold, sterile interrogation room, Cheyenne sat across from two detectives. Her makeup was smudged, and her eyes were wild with fear. “We know you’re connected to the Matrix,” one of the detectives said. “Give us what we need, and we’ll cut you a deal.”

I said Doctor Jenny sighed and softened a little. "Okay. Then I'll stitch you up right here. But you're not moving, understand?" She said. Feeling relieved that I wasn't going to be leaving Jane's side, I nodded and took a seat in the chair that was next to the bed. Still holding Jane's hand like it was the only thing keeping me grounded. As Doctor Jenny worked on my shoulder, I barely felt the needle. All I could feel was Jane, even though she was unconscious. Jane was our mate, and we needed to be near her. Now that we have found her, I won't allow us to be apart from her.

“Tell me how to end this without killing you.” Another pause. Longer. “He doesn’t know this part,” she said softly. I opened my eyes and looked at the man across the room. “What part?” I asked. “That you were never the anomaly,” Mary replied. Cold spread through my veins. “Then what was I?” I whispered. “You were the answer,” she said. The hum around us stuttered. The system reacted sharply like something had been struck in a place it didn’t have armor. “They built the recognition matrix to identify threats,” Mary continued. “Your father tried to make it identify people instead.”

His eyes could send chills down one’s spine. Everyone knew that the owner of Neah Bay, Titus Costner, had the same kind of eyes. That man was Titus’ son, Matthew Costner—the future successor of Neah Bay. “Young Master…” A tanned subordinate walked over. “I’ve inquired about it. Her last name is Jones, and she came from Australia.” “Jones?” Matthew narrowed his eyes slowly. “Don’t you think… she looks like my mom?” After keeping silent for a moment, the subordinate responded, “After taking a closer look at her, I think she’s undergone plastic surgery before. Perhaps she found out about Madam’s appearance and underwent plastic surgery to look like her.”

I can hear a faint whispering and I stop mid step and slowly round the thin wall I am in front of. A small doll lies on a vacant stone makeshift chair. My hands are shaking as I observe the tiny piece of felt and indicate to Matthews, who is now behind me, at what I am seeing. "That a doll?" He whispers. I don't answer him; the question was obviously rhetorical. "Heads up guys. Looks like we got some women here." I hear Jones say in my earpiece. I lower my gun and look over at Matthews who still has his trained. "Women?" He asks then eventually lowers his as well. He walks over to the small doll and picks it up off the stone chair.

Mr Jones said as he searched around, and finally settled for one person. He gave a chilling smile which sent shivers down his spine. Matthew was really scared with the look, he racked his brain to search if he had done wrong to Mr Jones, but he couldn’t find anything. He had not even met him personally , so this was his first time seeing him in person. He felt chilled as he saw goosebumps on his skin. “Ladies and Gentlemen, let us all welcome my daughter, who is the CEO of the Helix Conglomerate, Rachel Jones”.

He was a man that seemed to have gone through a lot. "Alpha Nemesis?" Matt gasped. "That is not his name" David voiced out angrily. "I'm Alpha Jones" Alpha Jones waved at David to calm him down. He sat down on his throne staring inquisitively at Matt. "I'm Matt from Alpha Nolan's pack" he said without regulating his intense breath. "I've heard a lot about your Alpha, why are you here?" Alpha Jones asked calmly. "You've heard a lot? Then why are you still seated there not doing anything? Is that not what the Moon Goddess chose you for?" Matt raged like he would attack Alpha Jones on the throne.

Then I have no option but to go on all offensive. I don't plan to go on a battle that I would lose "AI2 and AI3 to the Basement. Summon all other Robots to the Basement. No one should be left out" My voice resounded in the whole Villa the moment I got to my room. "LET THE WAR BEGIN" ARCHIE JONES. "What's the matter?" I looked at Kyle Smith from the other side of the video. "She agreed" He said as I raised my brows. After she refused earlier I kept on thinking of a reason to make her agree but she suddenly agreed.

I said. Lucas turned. "Wait for what?" "Wait for the man who’s actually paying your bills, Lucas." I looked past him toward the dark entrance of the shipyard. "Come out, Matthew. I know you’re here." The silence stretched. Then, the sound of slow, rhythmic clapping came from the shadows of the crane tower. "I always knew you were the smart one, Ethan." Matthew Collins stepped into the light. He wasn't wearing a suit. He was wearing tactical gear. And he wasn't alone. Behind him, standing perfectly still with a rifle aimed at Lucas’s head, was my mother.
