He was a handsome man with broad shoulders but he had tattoos and scars from battles. He was someone who had been by Alpha Kane’s side for years. His gaze was steady as he walked toward Alpha Kane, offering a respectful nod of greeting. "Good morning, Alpha Kane," Alaric said, his voice deep and smooth like music to my wolf ears And that was when it happened. “Mate.” My wolf screamed out loud.

Evan said with a smile beaming on his face. Alaric couldn't stop the growl that rose from his chest. He yanked his arm from the stupid Omega’s grasp and stood, glaring at him. “You will never be even a sliver of what my Goddess-given mate is to me! If you think I'll love you you're kidding yourself, and so is your fucked up father!” Alaric growled, and the next moment, he was lying on the ground with Aldrich standing over him.

Seeing that they had underestimated him and mishandled the situation, a second elder stepped forward and slightly bowed to Alaric.

Eve smiled at him. “Yes, pa, not running away,” she said, about to remove her hand, but he held on tighter. “Can you two just give me a break? I have been so worried, Mae, with so many what-if’s. I still can’t believe you are alive and pregnant with a mate. And I am so mad at you, Maeve,” he said, rubbing his head and showing me his forehead. Alaric is a young man; he shouldn’t be over 40. He is very tall, fit, and also very handsome. His hair is brown and very full, and I can see the stress lines. When he freshens up, he is going to look like a dashing young man, and his sons will look a lot like him.
