After thirty minutes, she found Alison seated by the window, leisurely sipping her coffee and offering no clues what she was up to. "Alison." Even as she prayed that Alison didn't know about Nathan and Ben, she greeted Alison nervously as she sat opposite her. Seeing her, Alison put down her cup, studied her coolly and asked, "How did you meet Ben and Nathan?" "I, uh…" Candy stammered, unable to muster a coherent sentence. With Alison cutting straight to the chase, Candy was caught completely off guard. She gulped nervously.

Lia and Albert first went to the stall that had few customers and started their eating spree. "This is too hood. I want to buy ten, no, twenty packs more." Lia agreed. "But we can't eat properly if we carry things." Albert looked at her. "How about we buy on our way back?" Lia smiled and agreed. "I want that milkshake too." Albert absolutely loved the milkshakes. He loved chocolate and rose flavored. "Ha, you haven't tried almond milk. You will make it your number one favorite, trust me."

Their mother was always strict with food matters outside the home, especially sweets, but their mother allowed Ursula to eat sweets only during the festival so that his younger sister always used the opportunity to buy lots of sweets. I agreed. "Let's look around!" Daphnie and I explored the store. There were giant gummy bears, packs of gummy food, flower bouquets, marshmallow treats, and sugar sticks. The store was every kid's dream and every dentist's nightmare. In the center of the store was a Buffett where you make your box of candy. There were pieces of caramel, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, nuts, mints, and other sweets. "Wow. Daphnie, do you wanna make a box of candy?"

On his way to the shop where he was going to pick up the parts, he saw a new cafe down the path that he took. The cafe looked cosy and by the looks of the jam packed tables, he concluded that the coffee and other products of the cafe is a blockbuster, and so, he opted to buy some for himself. He hasn’t eaten anything yet to be honest. Albert was a type of person who always forgets to eat whenever he was focusing or very interested in a particular thing.

I stared at the almond candy in front of me and sighed. I had told myself. No more almond candies But yeah I couldn’t stop craving even when I kept telling myself that I could do it, I could stay a day without taking one. I sighed as I stared at it sitting temptingly on the desk, I shook my head—Fuck it. I snatched the candy, tore the wrapper and sighed as the chocolate hit my taste buds. I was addicted to candies, especially almond candy. I couldn’t stay a day without popping one into my mouth.

“Are these for me?” Richard chuckled, nudging the plate closer. “All yours, champ. But there’s a deal. Medicine after that.” Alan’s face instantly scrunched. “It’s bitter.” Annabelle arched a brow. “And candy after. You want the sweet, you gotta take the sour.” Alan’s groan was dramatic, making both parents laugh. With much coaxing—Richard holding the spoon, Annabelle promising two candies instead of one—he finally swallowed the dose. His little tongue stuck out in disgust. “Yuck! Worst thing ever.”
