Like someone who had been carrying a burden for a very long time. “You came.” His voice was softer than I remembered. The room became deathly quiet. Rex stepped slightly in front of me. Not enough to block my view. Enough to remind everyone whose side he was on. The man’s eyes shifted to Rex. For a moment, something almost like amusement appeared there. Then he looked back at me. “You look like her.” My heart skipped. “Like who?” His expression changed. Sadness flickered across his face. “You don’t remember.”

Alex exchanged a glance with Jamie. Then inserted the silver key. Click. The locker opened slowly. Inside sat a single flash drive. And an old photograph. Alex picked it up carefully. His breath caught instantly. It showed his mother. Alive. Standing beside a younger Elijah Reed. And another man whose face had been scratched out violently. Jamie went still beside him. “What is it?” Alex whispered. Jamie stared at the scratched-out figure. “I know that man.” Alex looked at him sharply. “Who is he?” Jamie’s expression darkened.

He had on a warm smile and he looked extremely friendly. "Hey, I'm Alex."

Peter said as we shake our hands. I just smile as I look at the kind man’s face. He looks like a professional. Brownish skin, elongated nose, pinkish lips, brownish eyes, clean-cut brownish hair, and height about 5 ’6 or something. “Thank you, Mr. Alexter. And it’s very nice to meet you too.” I said as I smile.

I dropped my phone, and ran my palm along my face, and when I opened my eyes again, Alex was right in my face. “Geezus man!” I growled at him. He stared at my face with deep scrutiny, tilting his head to the side to get a better view of heaven knows what. “What’s that on your face?” He asked, his brows pinched together in confusion. “What?” I brought my hand to my face to feel around for anything, but there was nothing on my face. “That look. What’s that look on your face?” He asked again. “Buzz off,” I glared at him.

Lauren’s eyes were glued to his face and he looked everywhere but at her. “Who are you?” Her innocent question pulls the ground from beneath his legs and his eyes immediately landed on her. “Excuse me. "What? Uh.. I mean, yes?", Alex asked annoyingly at first but then, realized the situation that he was currently in and lowered his voice and responded meekly. "Never ever look at - "Dad!" I cried and shook my head when he glanced at me but then, his eyes flew across from me when someone cleared his throat. Max! "Uh... that's Alex, my best friend. I guess... I think... he has never been introduced properly before." Max answered quietly while he loured at Alex.

Weird Face was still standing there. “Skyler Gale, your attention is needed,” I informed, trying to sound as calm as I could. Then I turned to Alex, scanning him up and down—how disheveled he looked. “Hello, Alexander Stern,” I greeted, flashing him my dentals. A few moments later, “Hi, Captain,” he called back, smiling shyly. Exactly the face of serial killers. Then I turned back to Sky. “Shall we?” I gritted. He looked back at Alex and then at me like he wanted to debate it.

I muttered walking away up the hall, "But I'd like to at least check the physical part...” An hour later, showered, dressed and made up and obviously shaved since Olivia had told me it was sacrilege to walk around looking like sasquatch, I left my room just as the elevator doors opened and I found myself facing a very tired looking Alex. At least that's what the dark circles under his eyes told me. "Shit, Abbie.” He gaped at me. "You look beautiful." I don't know why, but his compliments always caused great pleasure in me.

His gaze was still observing my face even to the point that my face felt hot from being stared at. "Is my face that weird?" Alex shook his head briefly. "No ... I'm just not used to your new face yet." This is one of the reasons why I am reluctant to show my old face to him. 'What ... you don't like it?" I asked hesitantly. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise. 'Cara, kku don't care if your face looks like a teenager or an adult. You're still Cara in my eyes." As expected Alex would answer like that.
