Lilah POV "I, Lincoln Thomas future Alpha of the Emerald Green Pack reject you, Lilah Benecio, as my mate and future Luna." Doubling over his hands clutch at his chest as pain rips through his body, grasping onto the table to steady himself before he continues. "I cannot have a weak, wolfless omega as my mate. Lunas are meant to strengthen our pack and our Alpha, you cannot do either of those things." Lifting my lips in a smirk I simply c**k my head to the side waiting to see if he had finished. Once recovered and seeing my amusement at what he said he stalked towards me and my head was whipped to the side with the force of his punch.

“Be careful, when he calls you back for your response, please reach out to me first, this person owes my family a lot.” The line went silent. I lowered the phone. Emma looked at me. “What did he say?” “The same thing your tablet just did.” Nobody spoke after that. Outside, the night had completely settled over the city. And somewhere out there, Alexander Roth was still walking around freely. Using whichever name suited him next. I looked back at the report one last time. This wasn’t just a failed partnership anymore. It was something much bigger. Something far more dangerous. And somehow, Lumina had just become part of it.

"Both essential. But you've been at war with each other. Stop fighting. Integrate. Be whole." Light erupted from Luna and Theo, a color I'd never seen before. Neither gold nor silver but something entirely new. Both armies paused, sensing the power. When the light faded, Luna stood transformed. Still hybrid, but her eyes were clear. Fully aware. Fully herself. "Stand down," she commanded her army. "This war is over." The hybrid creatures hesitated, then began to retreat. But Agent Vex wasn't finished. "If she's withdrawing, I'm not!" he roared. "Your crimes remain, Alpha Thelma! Crimson Dawn will have justice!"

Contemplating turning off the phone, a text message arrived. "Summer Hills is in trouble, Alpha Alexander. She's under attack by thugs! If you don't arrive soon, I might have to intervene and save her myself, save the Luna of the pack!" The urgency in the message pierced through me, momentarily freezing my thoughts. “Beta Liam wasn’t joking or hallucinating”

Beta Calian asked. Ahmik Black took another sip out of his teacup. He chuckled. "Beta Calian, the soon to be alpha of the North Lotus pack. Do you realize how powerful that title is? Why should you bother yourself about a pair of useless and insignificant females?" he asked. "Beta Calian, yes, you told me about your plan and I supported you with my full chest, I still do actually. But you never thought it important to ask me why I supported you so I in turn decided to keep my reasons for support to myself."

The person does not survive despite all of Jordan's efforts. By the time Jordan pulls the person out of the water, the sun has hidden behind the horizon, completely covering the beach in a sinister darkness. His grey sweatpants are drenched completely, and the person in his arms is dead, his limp arms swaying with each of Jordan's clumsy steps over the wet sand. I know it the moment I see the body, pale and unmoving, but the Alpha still clings onto the little hope he has. He can probably still hear his heartbeat.

ALPHA LIAM. “Alpha Greta, I promise you, your investment is safe with us.” I try to reason with her but she isn't listening. “I'm sorry, Alpha Liam, but with Luna Kylie gone and Alpha Damon threatening to pull back his support, I no longer feel confident investing in this project. I'm pulling back our funds.” She says and then she cuts the call before I can say anything. “Fuck!” I scream as I throw my phone against the wall and it shatters.

Ever since that scene with Aethelwulf, my pride has been burning nonstop. "Alpha, they're here." Cole announced through the mindlink and I shook my head sideways aggressively, trying to force the rage out of my system before facing them. The large conference room already felt colder than usual when I stepped inside. "Greetings Alpha Killian." I greeted one of the deadliest Alphas alive, Alpha Killian of the Water Bloom Pack. His reputation alone was enough to make weaker Alphas tremble. "Greetings." He replied calmly as he took his seat, his expression unreadable.

I feel like they've been living amongst us for such a long time now that you know quite a lot of things about us and that is why they've been able to successfully attack us without us even realising what was going on and I think that the best thing that we can do right now is just to make sure that we are a step ahead of them and be prepared for the absolute worst," Draco seconded. "That's great then. Alpha Kira and Alpha Damien, is there anything either one of you would like to add?" Layla asked.
