Novel & Cerita Alice Hoffman Practical Magic Series

She won't dare to make Leviathan angry. Principal Jamison paced back and forth lecturing me about using my magic on other students... I didn't do anything other than mess with her hair! It didn't even touch her skin! She can just wear a wig for a few months! What's the big deal? So, does that mean if I just punched the bitch in the nose and didn't use any of my magic I could've gotten off scot-free? It seems like it! I could've done a helluva lot more damage and not used any magic, and she still could've ended up in the hospital. I'll remember that for the next time I want to kick her ass!

Rebranding for acceptance. “I would like everyone back behind me because the spell I need to cast it like a net so I can be sure to affect it as a whole. I don’t want to catch anyone in that net.” Alfred could hear shuffling behind him as he waited. When silence reigned behind him, Alfred began casting the first spell. It took time to lay the spell down where piece by piece, but in the end, he’d magically hogtied nicely the golem if he said so himself. “There we go, now to put it into hibernation.”

- She advances in my direction and I run away without turning my back on her. —I remind you that I can hear you, and I can smell you, you filthy witch. I don't see you but I know exactly where you are. - she hisses.- If I get close enough I'll kill you with a single stab... what do you think of that ? I will be ... good to you. She smiles widely in my direction and all the blood freezes in my veins. She's right, if she gets too close I'll be screwed. And I cannot recite a poem to deprive her of each of her senses, one at a time, it would take me too long, magic has its rules...

"He's burning up. We need to get him to a bed." I turn to Alphana, who has been watching with interest. "How did you know what to do?" I ask, my voice full of curiosity. Alphana smiles, her eyes twinkling with knowledge. "I've had a lot of practice," she says. "I've been studying magic for a long time. I know the ins and outs of it, and how to manipulate it to my will."

the moment she said this, she motioned for Althea to look at the back of Xandra and two people walked towards the sofa, their faces impassive. "Nice try, witch," said Ruby, the feisty one. "Since our beloved Xandra can't come out and I can't come in without your permsision.. .why don't you two leave us to talk just like this," Althea said sitting on the sofa chair she magically brought from somewhere, with a wave of her hand. "Woah, this is how magic works," Jess said amazingly when Althea gave a smile, waggling her fingers. "Evil magic," corrected Ruby and Althea's face became stern again.

I approach him and offer my hand; he takes it, and I help him to stand on his feet. "Thank you. If you hadn't," He exhales, shaking his head. "Whatever happened, it saved us. And you were part of it." He says, gently patting my hand. I smile faintly. "As I said it wasn't me, it can't be me. It's the forest and its magic you should thank—or Brian's dagger." A slow, knowing smirk spreads across Robert's face, his eyes glinting with amusement as he shifts his weight and turns to Brian. "Is your dagger magical, and you've been pretending to be ignorant all this time?" He asks, his voice filled with playful suspicion.

‘you’ll see them flying on broomsticks, putting on black hoods, with protruded caps, they are very wicked and seeks to harvest our blood if we let them, but we can resist them’ Dike said as they approach to cross the territory of witches. He then asked everyone to bring out from their bags the portion given to them by the Oracles, ‘don’t waste it, when a witch approaches you, stay composed and make sure it gets close enough then you pour this portion on the witch and it will dematerialize before your eyes, but remember, don’t waste it and don’t use it unless it’s necessary. If you waste yours, you are gone’ he added.

It gives Arvin a chance to flee from his hands and shape-shift back into a human. Finn tries to move, but Alice and her entire coven step forward. There are so many witches here, and they are all focusing on bringing Finn down to his knees. "Down!" With her flaming red mane and green gown, Alice is commanding the fairy with her hands glowing with her powerful magic. "You're not allowed to move—not on my watch!" I take the form of a human and scream at the top of my lungs. "No, Alice, what the hell are you doing!"

For now all the Elders will only teach us the weak variant of the spells. When we broke for breakfast I met up with Alice, Kim, Matt and Cam. We sat at the same table as last night and ate breakfast. I found out that Kim was starting with Water magic, Alice was starting with Earth magic, Matt was starting with Life magic, and Cam was trying to learn Light shield.

Once we were seated, Haron was the one who started talking. “Alice, I presume your name is. First, let me tell you what happened to you and in what circumstances Aaron had to mark you.” He started. The calm smile on his face soothed my bundled nerves a bit as I found myself nodding. Aaron didn’t look up once we were sitting face to face. “Do you know about dark magic?” Haaron asked. It made me nervous again but I nodded nevertheless. I had done my homework on vampires and their history while staying here. Fortunately, I didn’t mind reading thick books and the huge library in this palace didn’t lack them.
