"I just resumed so I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t see anyone.” Alice playfully slapped her shoulder and it made Jovy wince in pain. “Stop lying best friend! I can smell your wetness.” She giggled. "Ewww, speak for yourself." Jovy rolled her eyes. Alice tried to tickle her best friend but her eyes caught sight of a figure that appeared in the hallway. “And the devil incarnate walks in."

They’re just cousins. The girl with the platinum blonde hair is named Alice. She’s five years old. Her eyes were a pretty shade of blue, just like her mother. Her dress, which was obviously a product from the surface, is teal in color. She never pays any attention to my story, not unless it involves animals. She kind of reminds me of my brother, in a way, who is still obsessed with sea creatures up to this date.

I was about going to the back of the house when someone emerged with a cardboard box. “Hi Morgan!” Alice squealed as she dropped the box and bent to greet my dog, her pink hair looking freshly dyed. “It's funny how it's the dog you first saw,” I teased. “Sorry,” she sighed and stood up. “Hi, Lex,” she yawned. “Still not a morning person, are you, Alice?” She shook her head and rubbed her eyes. It looked uncomfortable considering the chunky rings on the hand she used on her eye. “I still don't know how you do it, Lex.”

“That’s Tobey.” As if summoned by his own name, Tobey came running toward them, pushing a toy truck overflowing with grass, sand, leaves, and several unidentifiable treasures collected with great importance. The wheels refused to turn. He stopped in front of Alicia, brows knitted in deep confusion. “Mommy… It’s broken.” She crouched beside him. “Maybe it’s just tired.” Then she looked up. “Tobey, this is Teddy. An old friend of mine.”

She smirked, like she wanted a reaction but before I could even think of what to say, someone else stepped in between us. “I think that’s enough.” A girl with long brown curls and a cropped designer top smiled and turned toward me. “I’m Alice, I’m his sister.” I blinked, “Oh hi.” She linked her arm through mine without asking and started walking us down the hall, “Ignore her, I’m actually impressed you didn’t slap her.” “She’s intense,” I said. “She’s evil,” Alice corrected, “anyway, I’m heading out of town tonight, but I wanted to meet you first. You’re definitely the craziest thing Alan’s ever done.”

Andrew fetched a glass of water and made her drink. "I received a call from Monica..." Alice sniffed and said, Then she narrated the entire conversation she had with Monica. Andrew let out a deep sigh. 'Oh, this is what scared Alice.' "Andrew, I know it's shocking; even I didn't believe her at first, but..." Tears again welled up in Alice's eyes. "But what?" "As I prepared to take a sip of the nutritious soup Grandma brought, Skylar's keen senses picked up a faint whiff of mushroom."

Luna hadn't noticed earlier; Alice was a brunette with blue eyes, and she was skinny too and shorter than Luna. “She is Alice, my new friend. She is from Cruster Toon, siblings. I have been searching for her.” Luna wanted to make them panic more. “Your new friend?” Bartram asked. “You know what the rest of my friends did to you in the past?”

“Luna Sally.” Sally ran towards where the voice came from. It was one of the pack members, crouching next to their fallen Alpha.

Ava was the first true friend I ever had, but now I could call Phina my friend too. Amidst our joke and laughter, she suddenly got serious. “Remember, I made a promise to you this morning.” I remembered, but didn’t want to come off as eager, that was why I didn’t ask her anything. So, I nodded. She chuckled. “I'm ready to tell you why I hate my alpha.” I sat up. “A long time ago, Clayton, that is the name of our current alpha.” She informed me. I nodded, pretending as if I didn’t know his name.

Zahra's POV Oh, my Goddess, I feel like my feet haven’t touched the floor since I arrived. Alice is like a bubbly tornado—funny, energetic, and seemingly incapable of pausing for breath. She hasn’t stopped talking since we entered my room, and I’m pretty sure she has a massive crush on Tobias. Her constant questions about him make me squirm a little, so I do my best to steer the conversation elsewhere whenever possible.
