Alpha Beta Ranking Novels & Stories

Shaking my head, I open my eyes and answer him flatly, “Honestly, I don’t know where I was going, but to me it seemed that I was intruding, and I didn’t want to bother you any longer.” “Woman. What on earth are you talking about? She is my beta. One of my second in command. I was merely calming her and assuring her that everything would be alright.” He says in a louder tone than he should have because now everyone is staring at us. When the doctor walks up to us, he pats Alexander on the back and asks quietly, “Is everything alright here, Alpha?”

Alex looked around the room wondering where his pack went. "They went to get you some clean clothes. They knew you wouldn't leave your mate while he's in heat. Your pack is very loyal to you. I'm glad you got rid of the other two. They would've tried to overrun you, but you're tougher than that. I've heard about your reputation Alex. You've dialed it down a notch since you've found out Ash was your mate, but you must not lose your ability to lead. Ash will give you hell, yeah but he will respect you. I raise him to never let someone try to run them. It pains me that Alphas are branded as assholes. It quite sad how we are the highest ranking gender but we treat the lower genders like crap. I

Because no matter how much pain I suffered there are still good things that happened and I'm grateful for them for the rest of my life. And more importantly, I will be forever grateful for discovering something so forbidden that ended up changing the trajectory of my life. That is, the CEO is an Alpha.

I tilt my head as I’m hit with a new curiosity. “Why didn’t you make him the leader in the first place?” I ask. “He’s your best friend, after all. And you seem to be singing his praises.” Honestly, I already assumed that Ralph was the leader of the Beta pack based on seniority or whatever favoritism bullshit most packs pulled. Even if it wasn’t always perfect, it made sense - choosing your closest friend to be your right hand man. So why hasn’t Keith granted him the position? Keith shrugs. “We may have grown up together and have always been close, but I have a duty as an Alpha to be fair. I can’t just make him the leader because he’s my best friend. I make decisions based on what is right -

But this girl was obviously not our mate. I've grown impatient waiting for my fated mate, I'm 26, and most Alphas have produced an heir by now. Not that it makes me weaker than any other Alpha, but if something happened to me, my pack would fall into the hands of my Beta; not that he's incapable, but he's just that, a Beta. I've toyed around with the idea of a chosen mate, but it just doesn't sit well with me. I want the mate the Moon Goddess picked out for me, my perfect match. The one who can tame my anger and keep me sane.

The Alpha commanded. The Beta took a deep breath. “A she-wolf like Lila...who wouldn’t admire her? But I know my place, Alpha. I know her heart has only ever belonged to you. So my...admiration...has always remained hidden.” He offered a weak, bitter smile. “Nothing more than a silent, hopeless crush.” Kade’s terrifying stillness eased, just a fraction. The Beta found a sudden surge of courage. “But...I also hope you will treat her better, Alpha.”

With our superhealing powers, that job seemed pointless. My wolf purred softly at her being close, but I pushed it down hard. I was Todd, the Alpha of the Thunder Pack and its future leader. How could my Luna be a weak human? "Tm Todd." I kept my voice steady, trying to sound like the Alpha I was supposed to be Tm... Age doesn't really maner to us. I'm the Alpha of the Thunder Pack. And when it comes to money, well, the forests and mountains of Northlane are mine."

” “Don’t pressure me, Hanna. I know I was wrong too.” “You made me behave like this,” Hanna shouted in a high tone. “I can’t love both Alphas at once. It’s against the laws of nature!” “I know that, Hanna. I’m sorry that I caused the three of you trouble because of what I did. “If I can’t change fate, then one of the three of us must make a great sacrifice to get fate back on track.” The Moon Goddess rounded her eyes in shock at Hanna’s crazy-sounding idea. “What do you mean, Hanna?”

She loved this cat-and-mouse game almost as much as I needed my Luna at the moment. She smiled and trailed her fingertip down my torso. "Tell me about being an Alpha," she whispered. "Does everyone do what you want all the time?" "Yes," I breathed. "That's not in my nature, you know." "Oh, it will be," I whispered. "You'll fall right into your place as Luna. The Alpha is the head of the pack. His Luna is his equal, but she doesn’t disobey him. You'll be tethered to me for life. Every need you have, I'll make sure you have it, and vice versa."

What the fuck is going on? ‘You are not a bad Alpha because you travel a lot. This is why a pack has three, and sometimes four, ranked members. The Alpha is the face outside, and the one who travels and makes negotiations. Many times with the Beta. The Gamma holds down the fort with the Delta if they got one of those. This is not on us.’ Alessa says, her ears perked.
