And The Darkness Comprehended It Not Novels & Stories

I had to find a way to control the darkness within me, to stifle the insatiable urge that threatened to engulf my sanity. The night enveloped me in its embrace, casting elongated shadows across the walls. My resolve wavered as I grappled with the enormity of my burden, my mind clouded by fear and uncertainty. I know that the road ahead would be treacherous, fraught with challenges I could scarcely fathom.

ISOLDE I knew I was awake before I understood why I couldn’t see. It wasn’t the kind of darkness that wraps around you and settles into something familiar, this one was emptiness, a blankness that pressed too close, too suffocating, yet somewhere within it I could see something faint, like light trying to break through a barrier. The realization came quietly but firmly; my eyes are closed. I tried to open them but I couldn't. I frowned, forcing the movement again, pushing harder this time, willing my body to respond, but my eyelids refused to lift as though something unseen was holding them down.

The darkness ripples around me, creating waves that radiate in every direction, with me at the center, looking out into nothing. A stray note of something that sounds almost like my name reaches me, but when I try to call out again, the sound is caught and swallowed by the nothingness of the void. This has never happened before. Not only was it hard to reach him, but now he's been taken from me as if he were never here. Something is blocking me--something AWARE. It is as if the darkness itself has gained sentience, and in its sudden awakening, decided to block me from my love.

He could almost feel every moment again, like it is currently happening. Chris is being embraced by the demon or at least, that’s how Chris perceives it. He was being enveloped by the demon’s darkness. He doesn’t feel any physical pain, only the utter silence and coldness which he unusually feels refuge. He thinks it was ridiculous, he really thought that the demon would bite him or anything similar to feed on him.

he asked. “Yes. Can you tell me who killed you?” “No.” He looked around the forest. “It won’t let me.” “It?” “The darkness I embraced in life holds me captive still. I cannot see the end of my life.” “Can you tell me more about this darkness?” He looked at me again. “This place is pretty. It looks different from the forests in my dreams.” Light from above washed over us, but I saw that it didn’t quite reach Scott, held back by a dim aura. I looked up to see the moon.

A beast walked out of the darkness beyond the Spirit Wall. I couldn’t see her face. Everything were completely dark. Darkness loom around. The blackness almost suffocate everyone. Making it look as if we were choked with her evil poison. But I knew who it was. She had returned.

Way too much work for me to do. I let the darkness take over, but it’s deep and all consuming. A spike of fear runs through me as I fall unconscious.

The darkness that had answered my call now threatened to consume me in return. In my dazed state, I clung to the hope that this was just another nightmare, a vivid dream from which I would soon awaken. But as the darkness deepened, I found myself teetering on the edge of unconsciousness, unsure if I would ever wake up again. The plea to hold back and not let the darkness consume me echoed one last time, a distant whisper in the vast emptiness. I wished desperately to comply, to resist the pull of the shadows that had become an integral part of me. Yet, despite my inner turmoil, the overwhelming fatigue overpowered my resolve.

I asked and he shook his head, instead he pulled out one of the chairs opposite me and sat down. “There’s a second part of the piece.” he said and i glanced at him briefly before moving my attention back to the paper in front of me. “I allowed the darkness to come and take the warmth, the softness and the joy from the one i loved, i didn’t realise it was there until it was too late, until it was being reduced to nought, but that wasn’t just the part, it was the fact that i never knew that i was the darkness until all i could see was myself.” He finished off and my hands shook as my gaze remained implanted on the paper, even with my eyes fixed on the paper my mind was not.

I tried, I really tried, but the last thing I saw before everything went dark was his expression, not anger, not betrayal, but something far worse. Realization, and then I was gone. Swept into the cold hands of darkness without knowing what the fuck was going to happen next. Shit.
