“Why would they even station a freaking chocolate fountain here.” I say, smiling as we got closer.
“Right? Bizarre.” Akio grins, nodding at my dress and shyly handing Bibah a rose that had crumpled in his jacket pocket. He’s wearing a shimmery, dark green tuxedo and overcoat that might’ve been part of a Duke’s wardrobe. I thought he might let the cowboy hats rest for prom, but of course he wouldn’t. With the black cowboy hat he’s wearing, he looks like someone who couldn’t decide if to show up as a rich duke or a gothic cowboy.
