~Author’s POV~ "This track is called the Serpent's Back. It's a narrow road that goes up a mountain. There's no fence. Just a big drop off the side. People have crashed here. One guy died last year," Simon said, his eyes shining with amusement. Harriet listened, but she didn't look scared. She was looking at her car, a simple silver Mazda. She touched it. It looked old, but she could tell it had been taken care of. The tires were good. The engine sounded smooth and strong.

Ray was powerful. Terrifyingly powerful. Thankfully, something had happened in the north, so no one had been sent after Ray. Otherwise, they would've been completely wiped out—and might even have provoked this monster into retaliating. "The day after I called you, something major happened in the north, around the Aegis Military Base," Venus began. Before Ray could show any impatience, she hurriedly continued in greater detail. "A monster appeared in the north. A real monster—I'm not lying to you. It was over fifty meters tall. Even armor-piercing shells couldn't break its hide, and it could spew extremely low-temperature air currents from its mouth. Even ability users couldn't withstand it.

“Saves us the trouble of knocking.” The first corpse rose twenty paces ahead, river-bloated, eyes filmed, a hunter’s knife still lodged in its ribs. It didn’t stagger like the others we’d fought. It stopped, studied us, then tilted its head to listen to something we couldn’t hear. Amara’s jaw clenched. “She’s directing them.” “Then we cut the radio,” I said. “On your mark, Beta,” growled Tarl—oldest of our ten, scarred to the bone, the kind who grinned at bad odds.

A Shadow-Stalker jumped through the broken window and It was a nightmare come to life. It had no face, only a mouth full of yellow teeth. It moved like a spider, crawling on the walls with its long, bony fingers. "Ariana, get back!" my father, Aragon, yelled. He didn't wait. He jumped at the monster and hit the creature so hard that its head exploded against the wall and black, oily blood sprayed everywhere. But more were coming. Ten, twenty, fifty monsters began to crawl over the castle walls and through the windows.

Ancient and absolute. “No,” it breathed. And for the first time since it had stepped into their world— It stepped back. Damien saw it. Felt it. And something cold and electric slid down his spine. Because monsters did not retreat. Unless something worse had just woken up. Aria stepped forward. And the silver beneath her feet ignited. Not wild. Not chaotic. Controlled. Royal. “I am done running,” she said quietly. The Crown answered. Not with light. With silence.

Aria felt the words like knives. Monster. Dax snarled, lifting the traitor by the throat. “Say that again one more time.” “Face it,” the man spat. “That thing inside her isn’t a normal child. It’s a living weapon.” Dax’s claws dug in. Aria grabbed his arm. “Don’t. Please.” He reluctantly dropped the traitor, breathing hard. But something in him had shifted. The beast was closer to the surface than it had ever been. Later, the camp sat around whispering.

Nobody understood what happened, an unknown fear crept, they all halted their attacks. Archie's soul trembled when he saw the armored man running towards the beast's body now. "Stop him!‌" Archie yelled like a madman, "Stop, you fucker!‌ If you touch that beast, I will hunt you down and I will slaughter you." Archie activated his chakra, his eyes and his body blazing in saffron. He pulled another arrow and launched at him. A‌ mild zappy sound was heard again before the deadly arrow pierced through Creed's head. Archie soon realized that Manticore's body had also vanished. Soon, the armored man's headless body also faded away.

They slowly squat on the floor around Grandma and Miss Mata who are talking to each other for a moment, then Miss Mata too squat herself on the floor. “Everyone, we should not be afraid of what just happened. Alright?” and everybody nodded although they were still dizzy and Miss Mata shook her head in disappointment that even she doesn’t who did this to us—to our ship. “The creatures who did this are a friend of Martes and I. So, let me introduce to you. . The Arazique of the ocean!” Grandma made her voice loud and the floating rocks in the ocean floated in the air and molded themselves into a human form but small and so chubby like a body of a chibi, so cute.
