The crimson mark started dripping to the floor. Jax turned around only to fall into a chair when Casper’s fist landed on his face. “Go for the heart,” Jax sarcastically remarked. Ash groaned and stood back up, and the guys charged at Casper. He stepped to the side and slammed his fist into Jax’s core. Ash’s eyes glowed as his wolf stepped up, and he grabbed Casper’s arm, breaking it in the air.

Blake shifted uncomfortably in his chair, watching Ash pace like a caged animal. Ash clutched his head, voice hoarse with emotion, tears streaming down his face. "My mate is angry with me. I need to find her, explain myself, beg her forgiveness." Blake responded automatically: "Mate? What mate?" "Has Scarlett already claimed that position? The pack wouldn't object..." An obnoxious white wolf came out of nowhere. I took a step back as she sauntered toward me, a grimace plastered all over her face as if she was going to pop up the hell outta me. I pray she will return to me, but I don’t know if she is strong enough to overpower her mother in that realm.” Wanting to give him some reassurance I say to him, “She is also the daughter of the Alpha King and she is your mate. I am sure she has power within her that is greater than her mother’s.” Ash stayed quiet for a few seconds before he turned and looked at me. It was the first time his eyes moved from the spot where Celeste last stood. “You’re right.” He said as he stood from the steps and I had to wonder what I had said that made him do this.
