Ash comes back and joins them on the sofa, she turns and leans into him. Kai keeps one hand on her back, rubbing small circles with his thumb. She shudders with sobs, and Kai scoots in to her, and rubs her arm, leaning his head against the back of hers while Ash holds her to his side. It’s a bit of a muddle of arms, but she sighs contentedly.

Asher says as he high-fived Axel again who chuckled at my horrified expression. “Okay, I need to lie down,” I say as my grip on Axel’s hand tightens. “If it makes you feel better, we don’t dispose of the dead bodies,” Asher says nonchalantly as I choke on my drink. “No, that does not make me feel better. Why would that make me feel better?” I whisper yell at Asher as Axel watches us with an amused look on his face. “Oh lighten up, Xena. The way I didn’t make a big deal when your ‘boyfriend’ cheated while playing darts, otherwise I would’ve won fair and square.” He says as he side-eyes Axel who just rolls his eyes.

Asher scoffed and rolled his eyes. "You're always asking the most obvious questions." he remarked. "It's a new habit of mine." Sera replied. "What a sadistic habit." Asher muttered. "You should know that—" "Asher, did I tell you before that I love staring at your lemon eyes?" Asher's brain seemed to stop functioning the moment he heard those words. Without waiting for his response, Sera stood up and continued climbing the stairs. Asher remained seated and trying to calm himself down. Not only him, but even the wolf inside couldn't control the sudden burst of emotion in his chest.
