“Stop being a dumbass and get your emotions in check.” I choked on my tears, my chest began to feel heavy. I wasn’t getting enough air anymore. I struggled to suck in air. I gripped my chest, widening my mouth to draw in more air. “What’s wrong, darling?” The Luna, immediately concerned, stooped before me. I couldn’t talk, just kept wheezing. “Oh my goodness, she’s growing red in the face.” Katherina’s voice shook badly. “She’s not fine. She’s not breathing properly. What’s happening to her?! Someone, call the doctor!”

My shoulders were jerking with every breath, each inhale shallow and sharp, each exhale accompanied by a faint, broken wheeze. I lost my balance and nearly folded forward. Adrian reacted on instinct, crouching down and gripping my arm to keep me from collapsing completely. “Is it really that bad?” he asked, his voice noticeably lower now, uncertainty bleeding through the edge of impatience. I couldn't breathe. I held my throat as I felt my airway close up, like it was swollen. My eyes watered and I started to wheeze. Christian rushed to my side instantly, his arms going around me. "Claire! What's wrong? Talk to me!" But I couldn't speak. I couldn't even breathe. My throat felt clogged, like a huge lump had settled there. I was dying.

I shook my head in Zander's direction. "It’s okay, love. Come on, breathe with me. Concentrate on me, Raven. Don’t take your eyes off me”, Zander ordered. I shook the dizziness away and my eyes followed his movement as he inhaled and exhaled. I imitated his chest movement, breathing in and out. But I was wheezing. His eyes were red and swollen, blood vessels bursting from the strain. His body trembled all over and he was barely able to lift his head as he wheezed with each breath, his chest hurting bad.
