Pucked On Ice
The rain grew steadier outside, a soothing backdrop to the warmth between us.
“Kael?” Riven suddenly called, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Yes?” I replied, still looking at the ceiling but holding him closer.
“I have a question.”
“Go on, baby,” I murmured.
“It’s actually about someone I know,” Riven started carefully. I nodded, listening. “They’re an Omega. Someone told them it was possible for them not to be an Omega again… to be normal. Is that true?”
For the first time, I turned my head fully to look at him. My heart skipped. The question carried so much weight, and the way Riven’s voice trembled just slightly told me everything I needed to know.
