They shimmered as if carrying centuries of untold memories, and the air in the room seemed to crackle at their intensity. The awakened one pushed himself upright, his movements cautious, as though testing the world. His gaze swept the room, confusion knitting his brow. “Where… where am I?” His voice was hoarse, yet steady, carrying a resonance that made the shadows recoil slightly. “Who… who are you?” The torch-holder leaned closer, letting the light illuminate his own face. A subtle, almost triumphant smile curved his lips. The awakened man’s eyes widened with recognition, flickering with a mixture of disbelief and dawning awareness.

“What is it? Is something wrong?” “No, not wrong,” Harris said, his voice softening. “It’s good news. Aurora is awake.” The words hit Damian like a jolt of electricity. He sat up straight, the blanket falling to his lap. “What?” he asked, his voice shaky with disbelief. “What did you just say?” “She’s awake,” Dr. Harris repeated. “Aurora woke up early this morning. She’s a bit weak, but she’s conscious.” Damian’s hand tightened around the phone, his heart pounding. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice rising. “You’re not making a mistake, right?”

Waking up, it only felt like I had slept for minutes before my alarm went off. Grabbing my phone it said 530am. Groaning, I climbed out of bed and readied myself for the day. Linking my pack members here I shout them an alarm, “Goodmorning! My quarters, 30 minutes!”. After a few minutes I hear them all reply back, albeit very sleepily, “Yes Alpha!.” Rolling my shoulders back I get ready and soon hear knocking on the door. Opening it I let my pack members in, leaving two of my warriors outside to guard the door and shut the door behind them.

petal's pov --- The shrill sound of my alarm jolted me awake, breaking through the serene silence of the early morning. With a groggy sigh, I rubbed my eyes and reached out to silence the persistent beeping. My room, bathed in the soft, golden hues of sunrise, felt warm and inviting. Reluctantly, I pushed off the covers and dragged myself to the bathroom, my footsteps soft against the wooden floor.

I had just run soap all over my body, before I heard someone call me through the mind speech. It was my army’s general— General Arthur. "Your highness, we've got them moving towards the east just after the black ridge pack” “Kill on site" I ordered. I left the bathroom and was clothed by my servant. A knock came at the door. I exhaled slowly. “Enter.” The door opened at once. A servant stepped in, head bowed so low it bordered on fear. “My Alpha.” I didn’t move. “What is it?” He hesitated. That alone told me enough.

“Kaelin?...” My own croaky voice, calling out into the darkness by instinct rather than by conscious thought, fully wakes me up. Suddenly aware of the space around me, dimly lit by moonlight and the soft warmth of a bed beneath me, sheets pulled up over my horizontal position. Disoriented by new surroundings, even if they feel familiar.

It was obvious our abject scarcity was overcoming my ego. The alarm from my mothers old Nokia phone ringed continuously signalling a new day. I got up and turned it off. It was 5:30 am. A brand new day. I slept off and didn't know the time my mother closed from the bar the previous night. When I wake up every morning, I say a brief prayer then dash out to the kitchen to make breakfast. After that, I bath Tami while Kiki and Osifa clean themselves. I supervise them and ensure they wear thier uniforms properly before leaving for school. Osifa washes the dishes while Kiki cleans the room. They all finish thier chores before 7pm. Thea woke up as her alarm rang. She sat on the bed and stretched her arms like a cat. The vision in front of her blurry and she rubbed her eyes for some time to get a clear vision. She looked at the time and saw she got up on time. It made her happy. If gets up on time than it means that she will reach her school on time and her day will get good it. She forced herself out of the bed and went to washroom. She took her brush and squeezed out some paste on it and started to brush her teeth. After she was done, she rinsed her mouth.
