Alice shrugged, settling into bed to sleep. I took advantage of the moment and turned on the shower, letting the hot water wash away all the impurities from my body and relax my muscles instantly. I had been dreaming of a decent bath for days, and even though this bathroom was simple, it was everything I needed at that moment. I leaned my head against the wall, feeling a slight weakness in my legs, allowing myself to relax a bit. Everything seemed to be going well until I felt a sharp pain near my lower abdomen. A chill ran down my spine, and suddenly I started vomiting blood.

He looked down to see blood flowing down her legs. “What is happening?” Mayeli cried. “It's fine, my love, it's fine”, Killian whispered. “I feel an intense pain in my lower belly, and I'm bleeding”, Mayeli said, tears slipping down her cheeks. “You would be fine, my sweet”. “Our baby would be fine too, right?”

The blood loss was making me dizzy. Caleb pulled off his seatbelt and ran to the back seat in a panic, trying to pull me up.

As I was thinking it the pain in my belly suddenly increased in extreme. It became so painful that I was not able to speak. I got off from the bed and walked to the washroom with my wobbly legs, holding my belly. I sat on the toilet seat to urine. When I was done. I got up and turned to flush but I went numb when I saw red blood and a thing which was so small which had something like a head. I stepped back kept my hand on my belly and screamed out loud "No....."

“Sarah!” Lucas is by my side and I shaky my head, trying to breathe through the pain. “I’m fine,” I gasp, feeling as if something is stabbing me. “The baby is fine. It’s something else. I don’t know-“ I suddenly have the urge to throw up and I do. But what comes out of me isn’t vomit but dark blood. I feel instantly better, even as a part of me feels weak. I clutch on to Lucas’s forearms, my head dazed, “Water. Please.”
