I was eating cereal at the kitchen table when Mom asked, "Cassian, where is your sister?" "It's Livia, Mommy. She is probably running around as usual." Mom shook her head. I was exasperated, disagreeing with her brilliant idea. Now here's the thing. It's not like my mother never appointed babysitters for me when she had business trips and contests to judge. But, all in vain, there were hundreds of complaints registered against me which led them to quit the job- which had a pretty fair pay- and now those files are probably rotting somewhere in the attic. These babysitters even took payment for their damages. I'm not a monster or anything but it's just their necessity stuff used to mesmerize me and as a curious explorer child, I was prompted to check them out.

This was the most disorienting part-she had somehow expected Anna to be sitting up and demanding coffee and berating her for her wrinkled gown. Instead, it was the same stillness, same monitors, same bland quiet of a woman whose body was apparently doing significant things but was refusing to give any clue about it whatsoever. She took the chair, and sat looking at her sister. "So," she began. "You're apparently going to wake up" The monitor beeped. "I don't know what that means, to me" she confessed. I rolled my eyes at her playfully with a slight shake of my head, then returned to sit on my bed, picking my phone up once more. "I didn't mean to wake you up." She laid flat on her bed, heaving a sigh. "What happened?" I asked out of curiosity, in a low voice, careful not to sound so offending especially if it happened to be something she had no plans to say. "Oh its nothing," she waved one hand in front of me, it is just my stupid little sister, she went and ordered some shit I did not even need online, then tried to force me to use the items."
