A Bark in the Park
Thalia and Erato, their twin puppies, ran circles around the family, sometimes herding the kids and sometimes joining in the chaos.
Zeus and Tinkerbell arrived last with Xenia and Clay, their stately parental presence clear as day. Tinkerbell had a silk ribbon tied around her neck. Zeus wore a custom tag that read “Papa of the Pack.” Rufio bounded toward them. They sniffed him, bumped noses, and then flopped in the shade like monarchs satisfied with their legacy.
It was loud, messy, vibrant—everything this park was meant to be. And while it felt nice to be with everyone Alan and I had slipped away to wander just the two of us, and Rufio of course.
