She'd rather be back in California in her small room, laying in bed and daydreaming about how her life would've been if she haven't had this stupid disease that left her in darkness forever. Bonnie missed her mother, hell she even misses her bastard of a father that left when she was three. She missed her dog, Egg. Oh I hope he's okay. She also missed her annoying best friend Becca. Her heart clenched as tears begin to run down her face. She sniffed taking a deep breath and wiped the tears but it was no use because more came running down. She gave up and let them fall. How was she going to escape this place if she was blind?

‘What’s up with its eyes? ‘Rivers is a blind cat, pretty much like me when I am without my glasses’, I said and regretted immediately. ‘Oh, sorry?’, Beck’s smooth baritone voice said and I laughed. He whimpered when Rivers sniffed his injury. ‘Shit, sorry’, I said and he nodded. ‘Why were they chasing after you?’, I asked. ‘Why don’t you just look and find out?’ ‘I try not to pry’, I replied. ‘I missed a shot that’s it’, he said standing to his feet and moving to the window with Rivers in his hands.

The hooves of our horses awaken some of the people of my pack, causing them to peek out their windows and doors to see what the commotion is about. Before long, we reach the courtyard of the palace and begin to dismount. After a quick debriefing, I release the men to go home to get some rest. Turning, I focus on the woman at my side and find myself floored. Her hood has fallen back to reveal raven hair, the light of dawn causes rainbows to shimmer in the long strands. Her beauty takes my breath away, but that isn’t what truly floors me. Her eyes, her eyes are a dull shadow violet. She’s blind.

The blind lady took a step towards me, smiling. "Welcome back, my alpha." The blind lady said. Her eyes shone a gray with a golden rim. My eyes widened. "What the hell!!"

When he tried to comfort me, I rejected him, "Stop pretending! I don't want to hear it!" He opened his mouth but couldn't say a word, just staring at me blankly. His eyes showed rare regret, but I had no interest in forgiving him. Nathan's gaze shifted from my hardened profile to my leg. He suddenly frowned, "Your leg... it's bleeding badly." The left leg of my pants was stained with an alarming patch of red. Blood was dripping down my calf onto the car mat, a horrifying sight. "Thanks to you, this leg might be ruined forever."

I folded, coughing so hard my stomach cramped. Someone grabbed my face and I flinched violently, the world tilting as I was forced upright and the blindfold ripped off. Light burned my eyes and I winced, blinking hard through the blur. Everything doubled. My vision was shit without glasses—smears of shadows and color. But one thing stood out. A man. Massive. Buzzed hair. Covered in ink. Crouching low in front of me, studying me like I was meat on a slab. His fingers dug into my chin and tilted my head to the side.

I just learnt how to get a hold of my powers, and the witch hunters were going to be here soon. The woman screamed again. The labour was proving difficult. I could hear the baby straining. It was a girl. I had to think fast, so I did the only thing I could do. “Sameli”. I whispered into the air and everyone fell asleep. I walked slowly to the pregnant woman. She was asleep too. I woke her up. It was dangerous for the Baby. She opened her eyes slowly, and they were the prettiest blue eyes I had ever seen. I saw worry etched on her face. Her veins popping out and going in. Pain. She was in pain.

“This thing has been worn for too long. It’s about time to throw it away.” A thread of unsuppressed joy flashed in Ol’ Joe’s eyes. “Alright! I’ll contact Dr. Chinn right away!” “Mhm.” Elijah closed his eyes and leaned against the leather seats. Actually, he did not want to let others know about his eyes too early either. After all, a blind person was harmless in the eyes of others. They posed no threat of competition. However, once this blind person’s eyes recovered, all attention would turn to him. Nevertheless…

I let out. “If being dead is my fate, I might accept what has been destined for me, but you can grant me the wish of seeing my loved one first,” she let out. “Aren't you scared?” I was a bit taken aback. “I have been blind almost all my life and being dead doesn't necessarily mean anything because the only thing I thought was going to brighten my life had rejected me,” she let out. “How dare you?” I roared in anger. Was she making me feel guilty? “I still reject you for a mate. Blind people are incompetent and weak. I won't kill you but throw you into the dangerous woods for animals to feed on.” I let out in anger. I watched as she went on her knees to solicit but I had made up my mind.

I shifted my gaze towards the man and noticed his eyes weren't illustrated with any color. "Is the man blind?" I asked Damien. Damien choked, "What? No! He's not blind in real." "In real?" I asked confused. "Yes. He isn't blind, but also blind at the same time... He is blindly in love." He said with a small soft smile on his lips. I nodded slowly at him, "Isn't the woman in love?" I asked. He thought for a while and then shrugged, "Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know yet... But she is special. Her eyes are the most beautiful. That's why I made her eyes stand out."
