It's like someone was going about their normal everyday life and then just upped and left, or disappeared into thin air We've been here for two days and while we have both enjoyed the warmth of being inside with a fire and blankets I can't deny that I miss the old place. I choke on a laugh at the craziness of that thought alone. I miss living in an alleyway, fuck that's messed up but it's true. Nina hasn't said much about the others that we left behind aside from Helen, she misses her and so do I but I have no way of contacting her. Maybe one day will get to see her again but until then I just hope and pray that she's ok.

But what could I do to bring her back if she was ignoring my attempts to reach her out? It's been four days without her. The despair clawing a hole in my chest was causing me to become a shell of man I wasn't before. I haven't gone to work. I have barely gotten out of the bed, and I didn't recall the last proper meal I had. It was no wonder how she left such a mark on me. Rhea was glorious. The brightest star in the night sky that I could have devoted my life to. I would willingly go blind just to see her light one more time.

They vanished like smoke, never to be seen again. Then, night came. And it came with the worst punch ever. I wasn’t able to dream. Despite how deeply I slept, I saw and heard nothing. Not even a nightmare. Or the faintest glimpse of him. Or even a slight whisper of his voice. I… Fuck. Anyway, it took me a while to get used to the strange feeling of living without the memories with Dayrian clinging to me. It’s still strange, but I am now slightly ready to find out what the last dream I had meant.

I needed the noise. I needed the chaos. Because every time I stopped moving, her face came back. Jessica’s silence. Jessica’s absence. It's been three days now and I missed her so fucking much. It's a good thing I knew where she was, else I would have been so worried. How was I supposed to live without her if it's just three days and I'm missing her so much that I couldn't breathe properly. Couldn't think properly. Couldn't even eat properly. And that's why I've been working hard, occupying myself with so many things so I wouldn't think about her but it wasn't working.

Her phone sat on the nearby table, its screen dark and devoid of any recent messages or missed calls. Gina was still unreachable, Lucas's prolonged silence had left her with a sense of abandonment, and the absence of her Nana on such a special day was so profound that she was struggling to breathe through the pain. She had imagined this day differently, with her Nana and best friends by her side, cheering her on, and sharing in the pride of her achievement but the reality was a sad letdown.

One year later, "It's been a year now, babe. How are you up there? I miss you so much, my love." I wanted to tell you how I survive this year without you. I wanted to tell you that I am happy, that I am fine without you here by my side. but I can't. I am not; I couldn't. You knew you're everything I have. You knew you were my life. Not a single second I didn't think about you, my heart always longed for you. Babe... can you hear me? I... miss you so much."

I didn't know a house could feel this empty until I realize how much the absence of a person living in it makes the difference. Undoubtedly it's fucking difficult for me to deny the fact that I miss Christopher so freaking much! Just three days have passed since he left for Paris and it is already giving me a feeling of surviving an eternity. I don't know why the hell days are getting longer with each passing time?

But deep down, I know what we would have really talked about - how damn fine those boys were. As I groggily open my eyes, the reality of my sister's absence hits me like a wave crashing against the shore. It's the first day of school without her, and I can already feel the weight of her absence hanging heavily in the air. The thought of facing the day without her by my side fills me with a mix of sadness and longing.

It’s my favorite thing to do and for nothing in this world will I lose it. Reading the last sentence of the letter, tears stream down my face as drops of it fall on the letter. I can’t believe it’s been two years without you Rach. I miss you every single day and I won’t stop finding you no matter how long it takes.
