However, the werewolf man got a knife instead. 'Is he planning to fight me head on? And with a knife? I mean come on. Knives are my forte,’ Brett thought. Right now, the two of them cannot transform into their beast forms as they are many people around the place. But if they will fight in their human forms, Brett has no objections. “I see. It seems you wanted to die in the Alpha’s hands,” Brett said as he got his blades that he bought from Italy. The blades are thin and only three inches long. But although they are short, the blade is so sharp it can cut a beast’s bone. The price is not joke too.

My stomach knotted. “What do you mean?” I asked, my voice barely steady. Andre’s grin widened. “You’ll see.” He clapped his hands, and two warriors dragged out a crate from the armory. The sound of metal rattled inside. My chest tightened when I saw what they pulled free. Blades. Not training staff. Not wooden poles. Blades sharp enough to kill. Andre picked one up, running a finger along its edge before tossing it at my feet. The clang rang through the silence.

Too clean. “Hello, little blade,” it purred. Heather swung. Fast. Steel met… not flesh. It met nothing. Her knife passed through the thing’s torso like she’d slashed smoke. Heather blinked. “Oh I hate that.” It tilted its head. “You smell like fresh blood,” it murmured. “She bled tonight.” Heather bared her teeth. “Say one more word about Baylee and I’ll find something with mass to cut out of you.”

The speed of his swing also caused the previously wedged log on his axe to slip and ricochet off the pillar it hit behind. Ok, that might not be the best attempt, but now, Zen confirmed that ‘Bladeless’ worked on anything. In fact, the combo points did not appear to have a limit for the time being because Zen simply wasn’t skilled enough to test its limitations. For now, he looked over to the pile of firewood that required chopping. The axe might be dull, but it certainly was better at cutting wood than the wooden sword. Zen might be able to return the wooden sword to Ben without destroying it this time. His only concern was how long it would take for him to finish chopping all five hundred

I pressed against her back and moved her hand to one of my favorite blades. “This is a Poshland RAM-21. The spiral blade is painful because of the spiral wound it creates and definitely makes it much bloodier. They struggle to heal, and if they do somehow manage to heal, they will be left with serious damage from the muscles and nerves,” I said softly into her ear. Brynn tilted her head, carefully running her thumb along the dull part of the blade. She grabbed it and placed it on the table beside us. Then I moved her hand to another one. There was something incredibly hot about this right here, and I was certain that she could feel my rising lust just like I was feeling hers.

We stayed silent for a while as we wound down the streets of Moon City, the night life shown in the bar lights streaming through the skies. "What is the blade that he was talking about?", I asked after a while of silence. "The blade is an ancient weapon that can be used to kill young vampires", Jacob responded, his eyes focused on the road, his hands relaxed on the steering wheel. "Young vampires?", I pondered. Did he mean people like Kane? "Do you mean newly turned?", I asked. "The ones that just underwent the change?"

"They're special made, extremely lightweight blades meant for speed more than anything else. They're not going to pierce through any heavy armor, but if you know where to strike, they'll still do far better than any knife." I was honestly stunned for a moment as I just looked up at him. Since when did he give me things? Especially something like this. Was he feeling okay? "Thank you... I really appreciate it," I whispered, a little more than dumbfounded as I quickly glanced over the blades. They were nothing fancy, but he was right, they were extremely lightweight. Normally, I wouldn't even be able to lift a normal sword, but I could carry both of these no problem.

"Tell me what I am looking at." [Warning, Host Eva! Tier 2 Mutated Variant identified: Blade-Stalker. High speed, high durability, and lethal melee capacity. Your hunting knife cannot pierce its main chest plating. Avoid direct blocks. Structural damage to the immediate ledge is critical!] "I do not plan to block, " I said through my teeth, my eyes locked onto the burning red glare of the beast's eyes. The Blade-Stalker did not wait. It let out a loud metallic hiss that made my teeth hurt and its right arm swung forward fast. The bone blade cut through the air with a whistle aiming straight for my neck.

The Anatomy of the Thermal-Resonance Blade I began the process with the precision of a surgeon. I laid my obsidian blade—the one that had tasted the blood of the Shadow Alpha—onto the stone table. Using a laser-scalpel from my kit, I carved a hollow channel down the center of the blade, exactly where the 'blood groove' would be. "Leo, Ace... I need you," I called out. The boys stepped forward. They had been training with the Cinder-children, learning how to pull heat from the air without burning their lungs. Ace’s hands were already glowing a deep, volcanic red, while Leo stood as the anchor, his golden aura acting as a containment field.

One gold. Every person on the battlefield stared in disbelief. Even Seraphine's eyes widened. "Impossible..." Aster whispered. "The Twin Blades." Elyan slowly smiled. "So the prophecy was incomplete." The red-eyed creature staggered backward. Fear finally appeared in its burning crimson eyes. "No... It cannot be." Seraphine looked at Kael and Rhydian with quiet pride. "It is time." Kael gripped the silver blade. Rhydian raised the golden one. The two swords began to resonate, filling the battlefield with blinding light.
