What the hell just happened? Before I can respond, she unfolds her arms and clasps her hands behind her back, turning on her heel without another word. She doesn’t wait for me, doesn’t glance back to see if I’ll follow. She walks toward the exit with an ease that leaves me rooted in place, unable to move.

She tiptoed out of the room and she didn't bother closing it. Two more steps, and she froze in her step when she heard a voice behind her "And where are you going?"

She was out of sight before I even had the chance to realize what was going on. By the time I managed to regain my wits, I tried to follow her, but it was too late because I heard a voice from behind me. “Avoiding me now, are you?”

I said, almost sounding like I was questioning her. "Oh dear.." She repeated, waving her hand for me to come over. Still not believing she was referring to me, I glanced behind me to see if there was any other person behind me, before looking back at her. There was actually someone else behind me, but she was completely busy on her phone. "Me?" I pointed at myself and she gave a positive nod.

All this to bring her lunch? No. She must not relent. She should not relent. She could be gentle with anyone, but not him. Tick tock, tick tock... In the silence, she could hear strange sounds, like water running. However, she was sure that she had turned off the tap. The sound seemed to come from... She jerked her eyes to the man beside her. "What are you hiding behind your back?" Her eyes were sharp as she stared straight at him. Then, she noticed that he had been facing her with his hands behind his back the entire time.

I pulled out a shirt before climbing on the bed behind her. She kept eating, not looking back at me as she let out a moan, “This is so good.”

she stammered, staring blankly at what was behind me with her eyes popped out. At that moment, I turned around, wanting to see what she could not pronounce.

She stepped in without looking up and reached out to press her floor number — only to realize it had already been pressed. She turned around — and saw who was standing behind her...
