He said before handing it over. The book was only a little larger than my palm, and the pages were so few that I frowned. Can this even be considered a book? Nevertheless, I flipped to the first page, only to see a blank space. But on the second page, I paused. It was a sketch of a black mark, very similar to the one on Lena's shoulder. There were no words written under the mark, so I flipped to the next page quickly. The next thing I saw was the mark staying in, and I furrowed my brows. On the next page, it was the same thing, and on the last page, what I saw was an enormous black wolf, having a hint of brown and white to its fur.

“I’m right behind you..” I nodded and turned back to the book, taking a step at a time. Then, my hand touched the cover— The book flipped open by itself, then pages began to turn over rapidly. Then stopped on one page. And on it there was one name glaring back at me. EREVOS A certain cold chill raced down my spine. “What is that?” Cassien stepped beside me and his face darkened instantly. “That is a myth, one werewolf always stayed like that.” I read the writings under it, my eyes tracing it word for word.. then I stopped.

The pages smelled exactly how they looked. Old. Ancient. I carefully turned the first page. And froze. A picture stared back at me. A wolf stood atop a mountain. Silver fur. It was massive and majestic. But what caught my attention wasn't the wolf. It was the tail. Bright red fire blazed behind it. Not fur. Flames. Actual flames. My pulse quickened. I kept reading. Page after page. Story after story. History. Legends. Warnings. Prophecies. Most of it I already knew.

This book is much,' I retorted with my eyes brushing through the back cover. I sighted one that really caught my attention. 'A werewolves curse.' I read the title loud and clear and so, I walked to pick it up. It is small and pretty sure it will have lots of information loaded within its pages. I can just take my seat and go through the pages of this one. I won't have any problem reading it at all. I picked it up and walked back to my study room with it. Opening it, the first letter in it is so boring. I don't feel like reading it. I just dislike it, but do I have a choice?

There were more volumes. But whatever came after, or so they believed, was not in this book. I stood up. Scanned the shelf. Found the next volume and pulled it down. I opened to the first page. And felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Because the first page of the next volume didn't continue the history. It was a list of names. Long. Handwritten in ink so old it had faded almost to nothing. Names I didn't recognise. Except for one.

The resemblance was uncanny — the statue’s delicate bone structure, the lift of her chin, the mark on her collarbone. “This is her,” Serena whispered. “My ancestor. The first Moonbearer.” As if responding to her words, the statue’s chest lit up with a radiant white glow. The ground trembled faintly, and before their eyes, a book floated out from beneath the statue’s robes, resting mid-air. Serena reached out, and the book landed softly in her hands. The leather cover was warm to the touch. As she opened it, the first page displayed a single phrase in glowing ink:

I tried to throw it off, but some unseen force balanced it. “What is happening?” I shouted as a bright light shone from the pages of the book. Jada rushed towards me and hit the book off my hand. It fell on the table, and the first page opened. It wasn't blank like before. I could see the words written on it and it read: “Only to be read by the seer.” “I can see the writings.” I stuttered as I flipped through the pages. “I still see blank pages. You mean you can see the words?”

Reading the introduction, Lucas' fair and smooth face couldn't help showing a wonderful expression. "With Super Berserk, I might be able to turn the tide with the help of the Apocalyptic Legion!

Giselle looked at the man not knowing why she was here. Uzair raised his hand and a book appeared. He opened it and started ready loudly. "F i r s t... l i f e.
