Kiara After offering Santa his fill of my milk and cookies, we settle down to watch "Home Alone" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." As the night deepens, we change into some warm clothes. Then, Trey prepares hot chocolate, filling thermoses for our Christmas lights adventure. Excitement courses through me as we drive through the illuminated streets, the colorful displays creating a magical atmosphere. As we pull up to the Botanical Garden, I find myself practically bouncing with anticipation.

I curled up with Chris in his bed as we watched a movie. He’s been worried about me over the past week, which I feel bad about. I hate worrying everyone. Chris surprised me with a home-cooked dinner and a movie; A Journey Back to Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie ever. I sighed as we watched, “What’s wrong?” Chris asked; I shook my head, but Chris was not about to take that for an answer. He paused the movie and straightened up, waiting for me to talk to him.

Maggie wondered; how much she might have in common with her niece. Kathy left the girls to pick a movie while she got the treats she promised ready. “Would you like to pick the movie?” Maggie asked Eve. “Mommy always watches The Grinch with me at Christmas time. Do you like The Grinch?” Eve asked Maggie sweetly. Holly and Maggie watched The Grinch every year during the holidays when they were children. Maggie still did even now that Holly wasn’t there to watch the film with her.

The Christmas market in Evergreen Hollow buzzed with life despite the biting December chill. Strings of twinkling lights draped over wooden stalls, and the air carried the scent of mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and fresh gingerbread. I think he just doesn’t get Christmas. It’s like he doesn’t know how to enjoy it or something.”

~ a few weeks before X-mas~ Billie's POV: I can't believe that in a few short weeks it will be Christmas. The holidays have me thinking about all of the orphaned pups that have joined the packs. None of them have any family left to care for them or see them on the holidays. So with that in mind I emailed the other two packs to bring all of their orphaned pups and childless couples with them today. All of the Alpha's agreed to it very quickly deciding this would be the best Christmas gift to all.

“You sound happier than usual today”, Claire said with a chuckle and her phone pressed against her ear. “Did something good happen?” “Well, it is Christmas”, Jess replied from the other line. “It’s the season of cheer!” “If you say so” Claire continued to walk towards the bus stop. It was the morning of Christmas Day and she had gone shopping for gifts just then since her salary for working part-time at the library and tutoring Ethan was just wired to her the night before. It was pretty hectic at the mall, and it was extremely difficult to find things worth giving since most of the good stuff already ran out of stock.
