My Next Life As A Wicked Dame

My Next Life As A Wicked Dame

Me and her were like Kassandra, we have a home were we belong, a home we long for. And base on her diary entries, it seems that she doesn’t knew or have any idea that the world we live in was a book. It was already a big clue, but I turn blind and didn’t bother question it. We are like the birds, trapped in their cage. A prisoner of this world. If I were a bird, I'd fly to the top of that tree, look around for a few minutes, just to say goodbye, then fly away and never see any of this again. Maybe I'd just start flying and not stop until I die of exhaustion. Just to get away from here.

BOUGHT BY CRUELEST ALPHA

BOUGHT BY CRUELEST ALPHA

She misses the noise, they confided about me. I found the bird by the weeping statue. It was a common sparrow, or it had been. Now it sat on a crystallized branch, its beak open, but instead of a chirp, it poured out a perfect, heartbreaking symphony. A composition of pure regret, each note the sound of a specific, lost chance. It was beautiful. It was a violation. A small life, rewritten into art without its consent. Arthur finds it fascinating. He stands for hours, listening to the bird, his head cocked, a scientist’s curiosity on his face. “The harmonic structure is impossible,” he murmurs. “He’s not just altering its song. He’s rewriting its soul’s frequency.”

Wrapped The Bully Around My Fingers

Wrapped The Bully Around My Fingers

they said. And all at once, a sea of pens met paper like a storm breaking. — The first few questions were soft—definitions, comparisons. My hand moved quickly, the ink soaking in like water into parched earth. Then came the longer sections. The case studies. The essay. My brain fumbled, rearranged, clicked. Lucas’s voice echoed in my memory, “Don’t overthink it. You already know.” I breathed deeply. And I wrote. Time passed strangely. Some minutes felt like hours, others like seconds. I stole glances out the window now and then, just to calm myself—the ocean was a silver ribbon below, vast and steady. Somewhere, a bird shrieked, sharp and sudden, but I stayed rooted.

A Mythical World

A Mythical World

The taste of freedom was very unique, until it drifted into the danger of unknown, foreign outside world, 'cause it was nothing like inside of the bars," he grazes the yellow color slowl "Don't you think the bird was silly "No, I don't. It wasn't its fault but the man who had put it first in the cage. The thing is," he touches the paint with his finger, "The bird only learnt what the man wanted it to learn. It only saw what it saw inside of the cage, unable to fly in the sky, unable to see the world outside, except that man "So, at last it wasn't a bird anymore "No, it wasn't, it was a prisoner. 'Cause all matters what happened to it at the beginning, at the moment it was born. All the thing

Broken Night

Broken Night

Byron took another sip of coffee, hoping the piping hot liquid would invigorate him, giving the last little bump of energy he needed to finish collecting the notes from his last session with Janice. He needed all the help he could get. How do I even write up that last part? He wondered, pressing play on his old-fashioned recorder (his lucky recorder) and for what seemed like the hundredth time, listened to the last few minutes of the latest interview. Sure, he could (and planned to) use her exact words in the book, but beyond that he was at a loss. It was such a strange direction, a strange curve in a road that had been straight and predictable until that point.

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Chris burst out with a loud laugh. “F**k you man! I don’t know how to get the bloody thing to come out so I can send a message” Rex replied, getting irritated, both at what Chris said and not being able to summon the bird. “Just slow down, focus on the bird, and call its name inside your head” Lacey added in a calm voice, leaning in to whisper into Rex’s ear, “Sometimes I add in telling it I need to send a message, it seems to help me.”

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Very good world building, intriguing story, and decent characters. I'll be honest, I was just glad to find something on this app that wasn't smut. can't wait for more chapters, I've become very attached to the storyline and want to explore the world more.

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

It didn’t seem like it noticed Jai, so Jai took his time to take notes about it real fast before walking away slowly. “I can search about it later in the library,” Jai whispered to himself. Jai walked forward and continued his search on the jellyfish. Breezy wind blew past him and made all the forest a bit noisy for just a few moments. It made him look up for a moment and caught a slip of bird flying above him under the trees. The bird flew to a tree and perched on its branch, where a nest was waiting. Jai took a quick note of that bird, writing it as a sparrow, before again, putting his notes away. He did that as a history of sorts, but he knew when he had to put it away and not taking note

Dying to Love You

Dying to Love You

The words flowed more easily than expected, filling page after page until my hand cramped and my eyes burned with fatigue. When I finally set the pen down, the sky outside my window was beginning to lighten with the first hint of dawn. It wasn't until I was about to close the journal that I noticed what Sam had written on the inside cover, her neat handwriting a stark contrast to my chaotic scrawl; {Some people write because they have something to say. Others write to find out what they have to say. I can't wait to discover which one you are. Happy birthday Shade!! - your Sunny }

Unexpectedly Married to a Billionaire

My hand trembled, as though afraid of making a mistake. “I don’t know what to write,” I whispered. “It’s okay,” Xavier replied softly from behind. “Just write whatever’s in your head. Even if it’s just ‘I don’t know what to write.’ That’s still writing.” I took a breath, then began to scrawl words. I feel heavy. But I also feel like I’m starting to breathe. I stopped, staring at my shaky handwriting. Strange, just a few simple words, yet my chest trembled violently.

Dearest Princess

Dearest Princess

"I'm not …" Just as Birdie opened her mouth to speak, her stomach twisted in pain. Vincent suddenly remembered Birdie mentioning that she had swallowed a cursed worm. If she were to try and tell Sandra the truth, her stomach would hurt. Vincent stroked his chin and thought for a bit before his eyes suddenly lit up. He zipped open his small backpack and took out a pen and paper. "Try writing it out." Birdie took the pen and paper from him and quickly jotted down a sentence.
