My jaw tightened. “Are you sure?” I pressed. “Yes,” he replied firmly. “There’s no chemical contamination. No poison. No external injection markers. I was slashing, biting, rolling around the snow with a wolf that had to be double my size attacking me right back. He pierced his incisors into my skin, and I cried out. He clawed across my face, leaving slash marks that burned even more as salty tears and frigid air mixed inside the wound. But I couldn’t collapse. I had to keep going. Finally, his eyes landed on the familiar scar on my lower abdomen. It was from the time he kicked me to the ground, and the broken glass sliced through my body. The scab had just fallen off, leaving behind a pale pink mark. Upon confirming it, he collapsed onto the ground, shaking with fury.

Jenny jeered, looking at her exhausted features, reading the situation’s urgency. “I am leaving,” Jenny patted her shoulder, leaving Savannah to head back to her bed. The door latched, and the silence crippled, letting Savannah feel why she was feeling so exhausted. The glimpses of yesterday’s night were hazy like before, but she had more proof to seek the truth. There is a mark looking fully formed, on his neck. It shows two wolves sitting howling at the moon, the big one is black, and the smaller one is almost white with a hint of ice blue. Above them is a moon the same color as the smaller wolf, and all around them, a shade or glow of blue shades. It is beautiful, and I can’t stop looking at it. I remember he told me the one on me would look the same. I carefully get out of bed and look around and now I look at the room I am in, and I am shocked.

I asked after a while and Snow smiled lightly. I recognized that smile. No one needed to tell me that the smile was fake. “She’s fine. She’s just a little devastated” Snow replied more between her gritted teeth. I nodded once and Snow put her to sleep before heading out of the room, with me closely behind her. “What the fuck is wrong, Snow?” I asked and she bit her lips. She developed a phobia, might be more than one though, but with what you have explained, she won’t be able to stand anything violent. It would remind her of her past and tamper with her brain” Snow explained and I sighed in frustration and anger.
