Lycidas' POV The wolf turned towards me, and its eyes locked with mine. I saw a fierce intelligence burning within them. They were a deep, piercing gold, gleaming with a primal intensity that sent shivers down my spine. In that moment, I felt as though I were staring into the very soul of the wilderness itself, a force of nature that brooked no opposition. Its muscles rippled beneath its fur, coiled springs of power ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice.

He was savagely dragged, his cloth ripped and torn apart but his strong palms restricted the assault from getting to his skin. Jake who’d been staring unbearably at the fight suddenly dived into mid-air and his clothes ripped apart. In his place was a striking wolf in whose every inch of bearing was authority. Jake had distinctly almond-shaped eyes that tended to be more closely set on the face and were slanted, with the corners of the eyes lining up with the outer base of the ears.

Looking down from it I see a group of 4 wolves circling the tree I’m sitting on, snarling and growling at me. They are huge. Isn’t that unnatural? Were wolves always that big? One of them is black with beautiful amber eyes. He’s looking straight into my eyes. The others are mostly brown with white patches over them, apart from the 5th one I haven't noticed earlier, standing still few yards away from others. He’s a white and grey wolf with dark patches over his ears and paws. Just like the black one, he’s watching me, but he’s looking at me with clear hostility in his eyes. Wait, what? Can wolves feel emotions? Hostility?

Seeing no one around, she climbed out of the cubby, stretching her sore limbs from being crammed in that spot all night. "We were a lot smaller back then, weren't we?” Hikaru smiled as the memory passed across her mind like she was seeing all of it for the first time. Walking outside in the early, bright, punishing daylight was torture! Wolves were considered as 'Day Blind', her wolf going momentarily blind from being held in total darkness for hours. Until Hikaru's human's sight had gotten used to the light, her wolf's vision cleared and focused as well. There was something strange around where she stood. She heard no birds, no animals, the breeze was actually dead in the air.

But I didn't try to stand up. And from right where I stood, I saw the same wolf who encouraged me earlier. But something was different from her or was it because I didn't notice it? The black wolf had two different tails. One black and one white as snow. I gasped in horror as I also noticed her eyes. She had two different sets of colors in her irises. The left eye was colored red and the right eye was colored dark blue. "W-who are you?" I asked, trembling. The wolf's eyes locked gaze with mine. She bestowed an ambiance of eerieness and cunningness. Then, a smirk crept up from her lips. "I am you..."

His eyes were piercing amber, gleaming like molten gold. Lily’s wolf has sleek, midnight black fur that glistens like obsidian under the full blooming moon. Her eyes looked like sapphire blue that sparkled like the night sky. And my wolf, right? You guys have met her. You remembered my first shift in the woods, right? But if you don’t remember anymore, I will tell you what my wolves look like.

Then I let my wolf take control. My wolf was a huge dark night color wolf. Like any other werewolf, we share the same eyes, blue eyes. On the other hand, Earl's wolf was a brown wolf with an alpha shape, but he wasn't as big as mine. I jumped over him, attacking his weak body, but before I could squeeze him, he ditched my attack while running away like a coward toward the window. Before he could run, I jumped over him again, this time I got him locked between my claws and fangs. As I lunched a bit over his throat trying to finish him, I heard her scream from pain ‘‘Stooop... Please '' she cries out.

While most wolves, even those who can shift, have eyes that range from brown to black depending on the dominant traits of their wolf, higher ranks display unique hues. Betas are marked by light gray eyes, with rare instances of deep, dark blue. Gammas have light brown eyes touched with flecks of gold, reflecting their steadfast loyalty and strength. Chief warriors stand out with their regular eye colors streaked with bronze, a testament to their battlefield prowess and leadership. But alpha wolves are in a league of their own. Is something wrong with our wolf?” I voiced my fear, and she shook her head in no. “Then what the hell are they doing?” I asked and looked at my reflection in the lake water. A magnificent white wolf was present in the reflection, and I almost gasped in surprise. My wolf also has heterchromic eyes like me. One silver and one golden, and a crescent was present on our forehead, right in the center.

My face smashed hard with the ground but I could barely feel the pain as I rolled to my back, attempting to look at what was after me in the eventuality that if I would survive, I could at least give a description. The beast of a wolf was snarling at me with foam dripping from its mouth like it was feral. He had a crazy look in his eyes. I knew the difference between dogs and wolves because this wolf looked a lot like the Siberian Husky found on earth but the eyes. The eyes were a dead giveaway that I was dealing with a higher form of intelligence, one that was not tamed.
